As a player using my tokens for my character ?

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't import my own tokens for my character. How do I do that? It seems like only the GM can import Tokens, but I might have some I want to use and have no idea where I found it on the web? I am not friends with my (or any other) computer so please explain it like I'm a 5 year old! ;-)
Well the way i have always done that is by sending the token i wish to use to the gm and having them upload it for me, don't know of any other way you can do it.
Only the GM can put your token on the map, technically. There's a bug that lets you drop your character sheet avatar onto the map though. You shouldn't rely on it however.

What a player can do to give their GM their token and portrait images is to create a thread in the Campaign's dedicated forum where the players can insert their token/portrait images in forum threads. I believe a player could also PM their GM and do the same thing. Note: If the images reach past a certain size, the forum auto shrinks the image down. To retrieve the image the GM needs to follow these steps: Right click on the image and select Copy Image URL Paste the URL in a new tab Change where it says "med" in the URL (the link will look like this https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/###/###/numb... med .png?###) to "original" Hit enter to load the URL and it'll download the image.
Kristin C. Will that also work if I have the pic/image on my harddrive? I don't see how ot can. But you say that I can send the image to my GM via Roll20? How?
You can insert the image into a private message or a thread on the campaign forums. Click the little button left of the three bars at the top right of the text entry box here on the forums.

No problem, Oliver. Let us know if you encounter any other issues.
I might encounter ALOT of issues, and most of them might never see the light of any site.......? But that is just because I think too narrow and my knowledge of computers and GUI is between zero to " very little" :-) I do believe I like this new way, for me at least, to play rpg. thx, again!

No, the bug that became a feature was being able to set an avatar portrait on a character sheet.
