Introduction Welcome to Forgotten Stars! The Atlas sector sits in a strange state. Ten years after the collapse of the Terran Federation, separate factions are picking up the pieces and finding power. The world of Cynit makes moves to become the next super power in the sector, but others plot to hold them back. The police look to control the sector by force and order, while religious cultist want to wipe psychics from existence. Sector commerce is minimal, but a resurgence is budding. Cynit pushes for unity and shared prosperity for the sector. Many do not believe their claims, or want a part in it. The turmoil brought on after the Terran collapse brought power to many, power they do not wish to relinquish. Even if it benefitted all. Planets without resources are wishing for the change, hoping to escape the power hungry factions. In the shadows, the New Earth Conglomerate (NEC) works to restore the Terran Federation. Refraining from all out war, the NEC employs teams of agents to conducts various secret jobs on its rivals. Only time will tell of the successful of this campaign, but its the last hope of the once great Terrans. Who are the Characters? The characters will be secretly recruited by the NEC to serve as private contractors. These characters have performed well in the eyes of the NEC in warfare, subterfuge, and tactical prowess. They will have been privately contracted and asked to come to the Washington star. Characters will have sort of connection to NEC or at least not be enemies with the NEC. Characters may be of any background and planet, some planets with abnormal settings will have to be discussed. Alien characters or non-humans should be discussed with the GM. What Next First, visit the Forgotten Stars website. This site has a lot of important information and will be constantly be updated in a blog like format. Players should read over the Table Settings & Knowledge bank. Then players should join the Discord server and say Hello. To apply to the game, please follow this link Character Application . Quick Q--Is there any chance to submit an application without having a character concept already in mind? I'm only familiar with the very basics of the system and there's a lot of things I don't follow fully in the setting information. Likewise, I'd want to work directly with the GM to create a character that fits the world, so I'm not sure how to answer most of the application questions.

The hours may be a bit weird for me, but I might be interested once I read up more on the setting material.&nbsp; I unfortunately haven't played Stars Without Numbers, but I'm always up for a new system.

I tried to make the application as general as possible. Its more to get a feel for who the character is. So if you do not know much about the background, that is fine.
