Update: this posting is now closed, thanks for stopping by I invite you to join me in telling a
tale of intrigue and alliances; of passion and betrayal; and of
politics and swordplay. Set at the dawn of The War of the Five Kings,
the time of The Game of Thrones, you and your fellows will build a
house, write your legacy, and set out to play a game with lethal
stakes.
Well, lethal for some.
In short, I'm running A Song of Ice and
Fire Roleplaying session that is in need of three more players.
However, this is no ordinary session. This is a paid campaign. $XX per session, for a group of 5, coming down to $XX per player.
If you have comments on the concept of
paid campaigns, please add them to the ongoing discussion here:

If you have questions about this
paid campaign, whether logistics
or gameplay related, ask them here, or send me a PM.
Who am I? There are multiple GMs behind
this account; my name is Steven, and I'll be your host for this
campaign. I've been running and playing Dungeons and Dragons since
2 nd edition, spending most of my time with 3 rd ,
moved on to 4 th , and have dabbled in other tabletop
systems including Mutants & Masterminds, Call of Cthulhu, World
of Darkness, and most recently, A Song of Ice and Fire.
What you get for your $XX:
Commitment – Flaking sucks on
either side of the GM screen. The Full Experience – Ambient
soundscapes (as present or subtle as the group likes), custom maps,
and digital props for quest items. The Spotlight – Especially in A
Song of Ice and Fire, backstory matters. I'll work with you to
integrate your character's history into the campaign, and of course,
toss in a surprise or two of my own. Control – I'm not going to keep
running a campaign you aren't enjoying. Balancing combat with
roleplaying, action with intrigue, and challenge versus being a
badass can and will be tweaked to suit the group's desires. If you
ask for the +5 slaughtersword of extraordinary decapitation in the
next chest you loot, and the group agrees that the discovery of a
world-shattering artifact is just the thing to shake up the
campaign, then so it shall be.
The campaign is intended to start in
mid February, and the first few sessions will be using a post-session
payment model. This is not intended as a free trial, but if you
decide this isn't your cup of tea, you won't be out any money. Once
the campaign begins, and we have a steady group, the payment model
may change, but the group will always have the final say in this
matter.
If you're interested in playing, send
me a PM.
