I want to run a supers campaign(or one/two shot) with a twist, what that might mean would be up to a few different ideas whether people want to go with a modern setting, historical or fantasy setting or something a bit more futuristic and sci-fi. My ideas are basically this Historical/Fantasy Inglorious (WW2 Alternate History) You are supers air dropped behind enemy lines in an alternate WW2 in Nazi occupied territory with one order, sow havoc and disrupt Hitlers war machine at all cost. Dogs of the Military (Diesel Punk Fantasy, WW1 Era Tech Level) You are all officers of a combined foreign and domestic military force in a society were serving the state with your abilities affords you access to many of the resources of the upper class, but you are also called upon to serve as political pawns and war machines at times by those in power, who see you as little more than curiosities and living weapons. Dispossessed (Victorian/Edwardian Inspired Steampunk Fantasy) You are all marked as Outcaste by your abilities in a corrupt and failing society, hunted by those blessed by the Church of Everlasting Purity with powers meant to match those of the Outcaste, you are all left to rot in the gutter among the rats and cut-purses, what will you make of yourself in such a world? Modern Aberrant Academy You are teenagers enrolled in a private school for kids with special abilities, beyond having to deal with odd teachers, super bullies and the awkwardness of dorm life, there seems to be something sinister afoot at the academy, and you have got to find out what it is before it's too late! Ravenmire Ultra-Max Penitentiary You are super villains, the worst of the worst, that's how you ended up in this glorified box surrounded by power armored guards and bright orange jump suits. But other than the prison gangs and the awful food, there's something up with the guards, and the warden seems to have a pan for the prisoners that you are guessing you aren't gonna like. That's okay though, you got a plan too, super villains always do after all. Strangers in a Strange Land You are not normal, whether you are an alien, a monster, or a secret government project you are not someone/thing that blends well in a world were super powers literally didn't exist until you arrived. Something about your powers marks you as obviously strange and powerful, you cannot hide from a word that will fear you, but what will you do when it is threatened? Future/Sci-Fi The Cursed Earth The earth has been destroyed, the human race decimated, small pockets of survivors scratch out a meager existence in the wastes but few aspire to rebuild the old world that destroyed itself in the superhuman arms race. Still however, warring tribes of wastelanders fight with scavenged super-tech or power passed down by bloodline or training since the times before the fall, though there are no longer large cities to destroy or a modern world to disrupt, the superwar rages on in the bleak, lifeless plains of the wastes. Galaxy Police In a far flung future, the races of the galaxy have populated it's reaches and established a peaceful society, but there are those among the numberless species of The Union who seek to disrupt or manipulate it for their own gains. the advancesments of millenia have made such criminals and terrorists only all the more cunning and powerful, in answer there were formed elite teams of Union citizens who, either by technology or inborn ability, have those fantastic abilities that would allow them to contain such unconventional crimes. The Omni-War A hundred thousand years in the future a war rages that extinguishes stars in the millions and harnesses the energy of galaxies as weapons, a terrifying conflict in which a billion lives in but an afterthought to the massive casualties of the war. You are weapons in this war, beings with the power to destroy planets, stars and civilizations, awakened for the first time to join the frontline in a war unlike any the universe has ever known.(The normal scale of effect for powers and abilities in ICONS will be cranked up to 11 for this one, so buckle in for some crazy stuff.) So, any interest in these settings? I know it's a lot of options and I may want to run a coupe of them at once but I'd want about 3-5 players for a campaign to really get going.
