The hell saloon by Andrei-Pervukhin West Marches: The Frontier is a dark fantasy west marches game with a strong western twist using the game Zweihander. Players take on the roll of adventurers and outcasts seeking their fortune on the western frontier. We will use discord for communication. What "West Marches" means This game will have a large pool of players. Every week the GM will post a schedule of when he can run a game and players will sign up to play at these times. All adventures will end after one session unless the players can agree on a time to continue. What to expect Goal Driven Play - Players are expected to set goals for their characters and actively pursue them. The Rewards system has been changed to reflect this. Grimdark with some levity - This will be a game in fairly grimdark setting. Corruption, chaos, and fucked up horrible shit happens everywhere. That being said, the game will not be a constant slog of misery, expect more lighthearted moments intermittently. Lethality and consequence - Players take on the role of average people and claw their way up to be powerful heroes (or villains). Therefore, expect consequences from violence. This isn't the type of game where pcs can get knocked within an inch of their lives multiple time a day without taking lasting injuries. However, don't expect to lose a character every session, as Zweihander has ways mitigate these. Let the dice fall where they may - The GM will not fudge die rolls, either in the PCs favor or against them. Mature Content - Expect frequent swearing and occasional other adult content. Ground Rules All players (including the GM) are expected to follow the rules below. Don't be a dick - Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc, will not be tolerated. If someone is uncomfortable, stop - If someone expresses that your behavior (whether in character, or out) is making them uncomfortable, stop. Fade to black, move on to the next thing, or change your action. "It's what my character would do" is not a valid excuse. If something is making you uncomfortable, speak up - If someone's behavior is causing you distress, say something. Either express your concerns to the group at large or privately message the GM. A few other things A decent mic is a requirement. Games will generally start anywhere from noon to evening EST and last for 3 to 4 hours.
