"There were no available Characters found in that game. You must have permission to edit a character to import into your vault"

Greetings,  New Roll20 Pro user here. I am trying to kick off a game. My Game Settings are as follows: Public Access: no Allow players to import characters? Yes Access Compendium: Determined by character sheet Character sheet: Starfinder (simple) When my players try to import a character into the vault for my game they get the following message: "There were no available Characters found in that game. You must have permission to edit a character to import into your vault" Any idea what I may be missing?

Any and all exported characters have to be reassigned to their proper players. It is treated as if those exported sheets have just been created (ala blank sheets) and need to be assigned.

The players are attempting to upload the sheets into my game. They are going to the vault (which should be all access) and selecting my game to upload. Is there a way that I need to preassign a blank character sheet before they can upload their character sheet?

If they have a sheet assigned to them (controlled and edit by, in player's journal) and the game has the vault ability enabled (in the games setting outside the game) then they should be able to import and export their characters. To import/ export characters they have to be outside the game and go to the tools button above (top of the page). There they will find the character vault in the drop down menu. Click on that to go to the vault. They will have to select the campaign to import from into their vault or they have to select their character then which campaign to export to. Character Vault wiki page.

We definitely have the import process down based on what you are telling me and what I have read in the character vault wiki page. Then I suppose I should try to reach out to Roll20 to resolve the error? Would you know the best way to contact them?

An email to the devs (<a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a>) explaining your problem is where to continue. Including the games name, referencing this thread, and answering any other question they might have is the way to go.
