Hello folks! We're about to run our first session for D&D Next this coming Friday, our start times will range anywhere from 6 to 9 PM so our schedules are pretty flexible. Generally our session play times will last anywhere from four to six hours, if everybody's feeling it some of them might even turn into all nighter sessions if people have the time and the drive. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/11509/d-and-d-5th-edition-the-new-frontier D&D 5th Edition - The New Frontier is going to be played as a sandbox adventure. Players will have more or less total freedom to visit exotic locations of their choosing be they cities, dungeons or points of interest on the map. From time to time there will be story events where players are guided to important quests or interesting dungeons where treasure, danger and puzzles await them. There will be a mixture of quests, guided stories and dungeon crawls in this campaign. Each and every session will be different - some times combat will be the focal point, while other times quests and RP heavy scenarios will be played out. Age 18+ audience - Our group likes to have a good time at the table, some times that probably means that we aren't the most politically correct people in the world. There might be some strong language going in Skype or over roll20. We're not looking to offend anybody's delicate sensibilities so if you apply please make sure you've got some tough skin! We're looking for fun loving players who are interested in good OOC conversation and having a great time in game. Campaign Website - We'll have our own dedicated campaign website where information like character sheets, world lore and other important information will be stored. This will simply be a resource for our players and DMs to use outside of roll20. It's not a requirement to use the website but it will be there for you. Start Times: FRIDAY 6-9 PM CST. What's with the start up time? Everybody's schedule changes and some times players can't make it, so on Fridays we'll start to get together anywhere from 6 to 9 PM to make sure that everybody is ready to go. Current Setting: WHAT IS THE SUNDERING? The end of the Era of Upheaval is nigh! The world of the Forgotten Realms has endured one catastrophe after another for the past century or so, from the Time of Troubles through the Speliplague. Time after time, upheaval has reshaped the pantheon, overthrown nations and rulers, and even altered the geography of the world. Now, the world is being shaken and reshaped once again—for the last time. The gods are thrown into chaos at the promise of a new reckoning of the pantheon, and they scramble and grasp at power in hopes of cementing their positions of authority. Their mortal agents in the world, the Chosen, are charged with carrying out their will. The Spellplague, the magical catastrophe that reshaped the world so dramatically, has come to an end. The Weave of magic is rewoven, and many lingering effects of twisted magic fade. The intermingling of worlds brought about by the Spellplague also comes to an end, as what belongs to Abeir returns to Abeir, leaving the Forgotten Realms looking much as it did before. Partly driven by the activity of the gods’ Chosen and partly arising from the turbulent political situation at the end of the Era of Upheaval, the nations and factions of Faerun engage in their own maneuvers, manipulations, and acts of aggression. In particular, the empire of Netheril attempts to conquer the Dalelands, Cormyr, and Myth Drannor, setting off a war that engulfs the eastern Heartlands. The Harpers and the Zhentarim respond to the growing threats in the world by regrouping and refocusing their energies, slowly returning to their former prominence. Nations, geography, magic, and even the gods are changing forever, in the birth-pangs that herald a new creation. The world needs heroes to ensure that the new age dawns bright and full of hope, in a world where good still shines as a beacon against the darkness.
Character Creation Preferences? I have ran two campaigns of next, have not gotten to play yet though

Go ahead and follow the link that I've posted and feel free to post there. (At the bottom of the campaign LFG page.) I can also simply PM you the campaign link itself if you think you'd actually like to participate and are okay with the times and what not.
