Hello, and thank you for your interest in the Great Game, a Pathfinder living world campaign! For those unaware, a living world campaign is a shared game setting between multiple GMs and numerous players, all living and adventuring in a single setting, with sessions happening all the time and inter-player RP filling the gaps. It is a kind of game where the actions of some players effect others in a truly responsive story organized by a single or group of GMs working together. The Great Game is a place where there are always stories to tell, adventures to be found, and challenges to be conquered. The game will be organized chiefly through Discord, with combat and large group scenes happening on Roll20. The game will be run in Pathfinder, due to a plethora of first and third-party content, and will follow the adventures of explorers, adventurers, mercenaries, and other denizens exploring and reclaiming the overrun and scattered former colonies of the lumbering Bannarith Empire. In the Empire’s furthest eastern expanse, civil strife and internal rot has given way to conquering warlords, separatist factions, and the stirring of ancient threats. It is a land ripe for opportunity and fame, and the flashpoint for change on a truly global scale. Meanwhile, beneath the fight for territory, regional power, wealth, secrets, and glory, deeper forces stir. Unbeknownst to all but the most truly wise, and most secret, the world stands on the precipice of a new age, and the heroes who are born in the eastern outlands will be the ones to shape the era to come in their image. They need only charge forward, and their destiny will find them.
