Hello, my name is Ashley, and I am here with my friend, Jace. We are looking for a DM or group that we can join for D&D 5th edition. I am an avid D&D gamergirl. I've been playing D&D since I was 7 years old, when my uncle taught me. I learned AD&D 2nd edition first, which I became very good at it by age 9, and in 2008, I went into D&D 3.0 and in 2012 D&D 3.5, and 5th Edition when it first arrived. I am 25 years old. I still love AD&D 2nd Edition, it is still to this day my favorite Edition, however, I do still love D&D 5th Edition. Below are some of the things I am looking for in a DM [Jace will be posting soon], and you'll find out my availability and what I, as a player, bring to your table [Jace will be doing the same].

What Am I Looking For?: A D&D 5th Edition game on Sunday Evenings between 7pm to 1am. All times are Eastern Standard Time. I am looking for a 4 to 5 hour game per session, once per week. I prefer Long-Term campaigns and I work well in PC groups of 3 to 6, as well as solo.

What Am I Looking For In a DM?: I am looking for a DM who will challenge me as a player, does not railroad me, and does not punish me OOCly for decisions I make ICly. I am looking for a DM who isn't afraid of giving it their all. I am looking for a DM who accepts that I love RP as much as I love combat. I am also looking for a DM who is imaginative, works with his or her players, and incorporates their character story and/or backgrounds into their game.

What Do You Get Out of Me As a Player?: I am a loyal player who works well with groups. I prefer long-term campaigns and 4 to 5 hour D&D sessions per week. I only play with others who are 18+. I don't leave games unless there is a major problem that cannot be solved by the DM or other players [Such as players completely missing games for weeks on end or the DM just disappears without telling us or if I am being seriously railroaded]. I am about a 60/40 RP/Combat type of gamer. I love being challenged. I love the diplomacy, politics, dangers, and puzzles of a game world. I also sometimes do romance situations [if these scenarios are earned, have merit, and make sense], with NPCs or another PC [if they desire to and do not mind, this is always asked beforehand]. I also accept the consequences of the decisions of my characters and consequences of failure [I have done RP's where my character has been captured in battle, and even through dark plots by villainous lords. I have done torture RP's, non-consentual erotic situations, and death scenes]. I am a very well-versed, all-around roleplayer who roleplays it all. Don't be afraid to challenge me.

What Do I Like To Play?: I play only Humans. I don't play any other race except Humans. My favorite classes for D&D 5th Edition are Fighter: Arcane Archer, Paladin: Oath of Devotion, Monk, and Wizard.

What Will We Probably Play?: I would like to play Sibling Paladins with Jace, but if it doesn't work with the DM, we'll work with the DM.

How To Get Ahold of Me?: I have Discord and you can also message me here on Roll20 in a private whisper or here in my D&D thread.

Hello, my name is Jace and my friend's name is Ashley. I am a experienced Dungeons and Dragons player as well as Dungeon master. Knowing both sides of the game helps to open up and draw more from characters. I have nearly 15 years of experience in just DND however I have been role-playing since the age of 6. I am currently 27 years male and enjoy a Story, making friends and teamwork above all else.

What Am I Looking For?: Me and a close friend of mine are looking for a D&D 5th Edition game on Sunday Evenings between 8pm to 1am. All times are Eastern Standard Time. I am looking for a 4 to 5 hour game per session, once per week. I prefer Long-Term campaigns and I work well in PC groups of 2 to 6, as well as solo. With this said, I would prefer to play in open world that is not a module, Such as“Curse of Strand, Dragon Queen… ect. With that said ifa story starts in Module and becomes open world that I would find interesting.

What Do You Get Out of Me As a Player?: Teamwork, Team buildingand a strong sense of staying in character. I believe in building bonds, we have all taken time out of our lives to build a story. Most forget that this story is not just one person but the group itself. I adjust well for the party an the DM. this is shown by my character building most of the time I choose to build a character that is in line with party, dm and my own style of playing. I don’t care about the spot light, I wont try to overplay my character, meaning if the role is being chosen my character will not try to become over useful.

What Do I Like To Play?
: I play Humans, Asimar, Half Elf.. My favorite classes for D&D 5th Edition are Paladins, Monks, Wizard, Clerics, Rangers and Fighters.

What Will We Probably Play?: We would like to play Paladin Siblings [Sister and Brother]. If Party composition is off however we could come up with something else if needed.

How To Get A hold of Me?: I have Discord and you can also message me here on Roll20 in a private whisper or here in my D&D thread
BTW is Sunday the only day available to you?

It is. Jace works on the weekdays, and I am busy on Saturdays DMing my own Saturday games.
Ok, I see.  Was trying to get into a Saturday evening 5E game if I could find one, else maybe start one.  I would prefer to play ( as a DM or player) Saturday evening, but if I can't, I will consider running a Sunday game.

Hey Ashley and Jace, I am a prospective DM(don't mind playing either if you've found a DM). My name is Andrew and I'm a 20 year old guy with way less RP experience than either of you. I discovered RP and tabletops about three years ago, and since then I've been trying to throw myself into as many RP games as I could juggle with my schedule. I have played in a couple of shorter campaigns and DM'd two longer campaigns(one still on going) as well as a handful of shorter ones.

I have played mostly D&D 5e but also Stars without Number and several powered by the Apocalypse games. I am looking for players that are passionate about role-playing so that we can weave a story together over D&D, I also have a strong desire to improve at both RPing and DMing.

I am looking for a group of players that have some heavy experience in RP, and that prefer to be challenged in encounters, both combat and non-combat encounters. My usual group of players prefer a fair amount of rail-roading, but as a DM I prefer campaigns where I truly feel as if the world and story are built by everyone at the table in tandem(rather than my players just taking a trip on my magical narrative carpet).

I would prefer to build a home brew setting since that provides much more 'control' and sense of ownership over the world, and I have a plethora of ideas and hooks to get the ball rolling.

My strengths as DM are: Grand Campaign story lines, kingdom politics and intrigue, unique and interesting encounters + magical items, and reoccurring characters. Additional perks of having me as a DM are: I prefer to build maps(r20 sheets and assets) for most encounters, my availability/reliability is great(I won't randomly disappear/cancel sessions), and I absolutely won't 'railroad' and I understand that D&D is about a group of friends having fun telling a story together.

My preferred time to play?  Sunday evening(your time-frame of 7pm-1am EST works great for me), but really any evening besides Saturday works fine.

Your idea about playing sibling paladins sounds awesome to me, and I'd love to talk a bit more about your character concepts and how you two feel about filling out the rest of the party or just playing a two-person campaign.

My preferred method of contact is Discord which you can reach me at purposeful#5323 and of course in private message here on r20(might take me longer to notice).

If you guys need a dwarf warrior, let me know :)
Hey Andrew, I like the way you think... when I run games I like the long story arcs and I also try to get involved with character background so I can intertwine that into the game.  If this develops into a game for Sundays, I would be very happy to play with you all.  I am off on Mondays so an evening game form 7 - 12 (EST) is also good for me (as I live in Florida).  I like to use some home-brew stuff or other items not in official cannon to keep players in wonder as to what to expect next.

After we built our characters, provided our storylines and all got settled in to make our characters, Andrew C., our would-be GM, completely ditched us in the middle of the night with a single-sentence exit message. It's beyond infuriating. If you can't DM us, please don't talk with us for 4 hours, get settled in, build the Roll20 game, have us make our characters, lay out our storylines, then after we do all that work, you just completely shut it down, vacate and disappear. It is not good for your reputation as a DM.

Because of the thread name being changed, I am closing this thread and creating a new one.
