Game systems split up

I propose actually splitting up game systems. I know it's done with D&D as it's quite popular but I am sure there are other games out there that could be split up. I for one would like the Star Wars games split into each edition. I am interested in the FFG version and have to siphon through the posted games and read each one to see if they even posted what edition they are playing. I am sure others can comment on their preferred game of choice if there is a need to split those up. At this point in time there is 3 editions of the FFG game (EoTE, AoR and FoD)

Your suggestion is valid. In the meantime something you can use to limit search results, try the Matching Keywords field. Examples: Search for "Playing game: Star Wars (any edition)" = a dozen results. Search for "Matching keywords: EoTE" + "Playing game: Star Wars (any edition)" = one result comes up (as of today). Note that the GM would need to use the word "EoTE" in the game's description or tags for it to come up with this search limiter. You can repeat the search with other matching keywords like "Empire" or "AOR" or "Rebellion" or whatever subtitle you think a GM might use for describing the system name.
keywords works too but yeah there could be multiple ways they add tags or text. Even then I've seen people post a game but then players end up having to ask which version they are playing.
+1 The current edition of the Star Wars RPG (Edge, FFG, whatever you choose to call it) really needs to be separated from the other Star Wars RPGs. The Fantasy Flight Games system is very popular and its active. It seems discourteous to group it together with discontinued games using vastly different mechanics from different publishers. Give the current/active/popular game its own listing. It would make things a lot easier.
Why is this still not a thing? This would be one of those items that should be able to be easily updated. I don't know if I would go as far as splitting into the 3 different FFG games but have one for Saga, one for FFG and the other for WE versions. I realize this doesn't have a lot of votes but again it's something that should be able to be easily implemented... Can we get a DEV response?
OP, there are many suggestions here, and although I support this one, we can't expect devs to read up every single suggestion. We need more votes.
Devs know about this.  It has been addressed MANY times in the past.  They are adding more and more systems (use to be really bad back in the day), so it is unlikely for certain systems that aren't played that much to be broken down further.  For now its definitely up to the GM to correctly advertise their game :(

Well specifically about Star Wars system, which OP is mentionning, you'll find around 30 games at any time on the LFG. Which I'm sure is way more than the number of LFG for D&D 2nd or 3rd edition. It's probably higher than 4th and maybe even 3.5th. And it's just wrong to put them in the same place. D&D editions for example are almost the same thing, you'll find a couple rule changes, new skills/ability, but it's the same game. A new edition . Star Wars systems only share a part of their setting. They are not editions of the same game, they are different games. Now maybe I'm being specific to a single case while this thread is too generic. But I'm sure OP had the same thing in mind.
Yeah I've noticed a few different game systems that could benefit from being split up. The Star Wars ones were my particular interest and I didn't know enough about other systems to know whether to split them or not. I would agree with the example of the D&D editions, 5th edition was added fairly quickly after it was released. The FFG Star Wars has been around for a few years now and last I checked it was still combined.  I created a suggestion for just the  Star Wars games since this one was too generic and hasn't gained any traction.

The games dropdown menu exists to help standardize the options available (example: 4E vs. 4th Edition vs. D&D4, etc). No matter how many games are listed, some may not make the cut. Games are added to the list periodically. This ensures obscure listings gain greater visibility when sorted via the Other Games option and helps keep away “empty” search listings for underrepresented titles. If you feel a game should be listed, encourage your community members to play and post often. The more community attention a title receives the more likely it is to be added to the list, but the Suggestions forum is not a viable route for getting a game on the games dropdown menu. I'll be closing this thread and releasing the votes.
