Heroquest

Hi, Anyone know if there is a Heroquest module or setup to do HQ on Roll20? If not, it would be cool to have something like that available.

It would require an official licence to replicate it as a module so it's unlikely to happen without some serious business talks... that being said, for personal use you can certainly set it up yourself to play as you would at home (I know I have...). It didn't even take that long using decks, I also created and added a community created character sheet to use (side note, there is also a rolling system API script which works with the sheet but this would require the creator to have a pro level subscription).
Nice! Does setting up the decks take a long time? I figured I would do them through handouts, unless there is a better way. For the dice, I figured I would just make a chart that says what the numbers are, like 1-3 = skulls, 4-5 = shields 6 = black skull. I was going to do the character sheets as handouts also.

It didn't take too long really, the longest part was scanning and trimming my cards (you only need the back once) to add to the decks but they aren't extensive as decks go so it wasn't a chore. I'm fairly certain if I tried I could've found the art elsewhere but I was going for the original game look :) As for the character sheet, my version works best with the dice API but doesn't require it since the body/mind/attack/defend values are just simple integers that could be plugged into any macro: /r @{selected|attack}t[dice] vs /r @{target|defend}t[dice] or something more complicated if you have the time.
Thanks, this is great! Now I just have to find some folks with whom to play some HQ ;)

Tim, you wouldn't even need a chart to translate numbers, just set up a rollable table (which is what it looks like Ziechael did in his macro example above... :)

DUUUUUUUDE. Why didn't I think of setting up Hero Quest in here! If you need players, I would be quite interested. This is the game that got me into table top. I just checked, and there is a module for Vassal for Hero Quest. May have some images... not that I condone grabbing them there without checking the copywrite information.
@Finderski, thanks. I still have to learn about how to do all that stuff. I'm kind of analog at this point but will learn. @Jeremy, Same here. I have the first level all mapped out and am working on getting the cards set up. Ziechael seemed to indicate that you can also customize card decks, which if so, will be huge. As soon as I can get the cards and dice hooked up to the game, I'll let you know.  @everyone: Anyone who knows anyone who wants to play, let me know.

Here is a few screen shots of my setup, once I had all the assets ready the actual construction took hardly any time at all (not fully decorated the maps yet but all have DL enabled too for extra suspense :) ):
That's awesome. I have decorated the first two quests but all the back end stuff that makes the game actually work, which you have together very nicely there, remains to be completed.  It is great that so many people want to play HQ. I bet there are enough folks to get a game or two.
