Hello y'all! My name is Anderson but i usually go with Rato. I'm 30 years old and I live in the GMT-3 timezone and I'm looking for a D&D game on late Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays. Well, let's get to the nitty gritty of this post shall we? I started using Roll20 about a month ago and been looking for a group both in here and using the find a game tool on a daily basis, multiple times a day even, and within the first week I was lucky enough to be at the right place and the right time and got into a game. Great! But I want to play more and so I've been looking for another group since then without much luck. A couple weeks ago I made a topic here but nothing really came out of it so I'm trying again. Now partially the reason why I didn't got in another game yet after three weeks is because I've being a little picky with the games I'm applying to. I'm not shooting in every direction hoping to join any game, there's some things I'm looking for and not all games offer it, plus the issue of timezone and restriction to weekends. So I'm going to post a free form applications about myself to see if any roaming GM around here would be interested in having me in their game. Now I'm not gonna post any character here even though I have many of them bouncing around in my head. This is in fact one of the deal breakers that makes me avoid applying to some games, I'm here to apply myself to a game not a character. I believe knowing the player is far more important than some snowflake character, so every time I see a game where the GM asks for a more detailed character description I more or less ignore and move on to the next. In fact I'm much more interested in the game if I see a DM explicitly asking to avoid a character and they just want to know the player. Anyway, let's talk a bit about me and what kind of person/player you would be getting. What I am:  I'm a geek through and through. I've always been into video games, and a bit later in my life into anime and internet as well. I spend most of my time playing games, watching people playing games on YouTube, watching people playing role playing games on YouTube and watching anime (though I've been slacking off in the anime department lately). I just recently started playing my first game, but I've been wanting to play D&D for almost 20 years, but never found people to play with. In the past few years I consume a lot of D&D online, watching others play, and recently I finally decided to try playing online and here I am. I'm pretty open minded, I generally don't care what or who you are, as long as you're not being a problem to others knock yourself out buddy. I believe everyone is free to be what they want to be if it doesn't harm others. I really like making people laugh and will be making jokes when I find the opportunity, but will take the RPing seriously. Don't worry about a dick joke in the middle of a dramatic scene, I'm also 100% okay with adult language and humor. Something else worth mentioning is that although I'm fluent in it, english is not my first language. Though I do interact with english on a daily basis more than my own language right now, I spent all my time on-line or in games since I'm currently unemployed, and I always try to write properly (even If I fail at it). One final thing to mention is that I'm really committed to this, I will be reliably on every week, always on time. I don't really do anything else besides what I mentioned on my free time, I'm always in my room, and even though right now I don't have a job I'm avoiding games during the week because the last thing I want is to get in a game and having to leave a few weeks later because I found a job, that's just a shitty thing to do. I respect you guys and your time and I absolutely hate wasting time, either mine or others. What I'm looking for: Now for the second part. What do I want in a game? Well, most of these things are not a requirement in any way shape or form, just general things I would like to have in a game, I'm not too strict about them. But what are those things? Well, sit a while and listen. First and foremost, and this is the most important one, I'm looking for a traditional D&D experience. Right now I don't want to play in a steampunk setting, or a story of plane travelers that hop around dimensions, or as a group of descendents of demi-gods with a purpose. I want the traditional rag-tag bunch of misfits walking around helping people out, adventurers, mercenaries and whatnot. I would prefer a setting like the Forgotten Relms or Tal'dorei, since I'm more familiar with those, but I'm 100% good to go with homebrews as well. I also really want to join at the beggining, I would rather avoid join ongoing campaigns right now. Like I said, I just started so I want the full experience first, I would also prefer starting at lvl 1 if possible. Another relevant thing is I would love to have a session zero where everyone gets together to make characters and get to know each other, but like many of those things this is not a requirement. I'm the kind of player that really gets into character. I speak in first person and I always try to act how my character would, in fact I almost got my character killed on my very first session. I know the decision of leading the party in a unknown area with my lvl 1 wizard was a baaaad idea. But she was tired of waiting the party make a decision on the marching order so she jut went ahead. Cue in giant rats ambush. So I would prefer to play with people like this, but again, this is not a requirement just a preference. I'm down playing with other styles as well. Lastly I don't want a text only game. I'm good with voice but I don't have a webcam, though I'm ok with the Idea of buying one to join a video/audio if the group interests me. Anyway this is getting a little too long, sorry about that. I just want to give you guys enough information to make a informed decision. If there's anything else you want to know just ask. I would in fact love if you're the type of GM that does interviews before deciding. If I interest you and you would consider me to your group hit me up with a reply or a PM. So without further ado, thanks for reading and have a nice day!
