[LFG][Lone Wolf Adventure Game] New player looking to enjoy this nostalgic RPG [GMT][UK]

Hi all, 29y/o from the UK and a relatively new player to RPGs; would love to join a group who are running the Lone Wolf Adventure Game. I've recently purchased the base package, as I've been a big fan of Joe Dever's original game books ever since I was young. I have always enjoyed RPGs in the digital world, but never really had the chance to have the pen and paper experience online or off. I've been looking for groups to play the game with, but so far haven't had much luck. I would love to invest more in the game and purchase it's supplements, but I'm hoping to find a group that actively plays before I do. More than happy to jump into a VOIP channel or anything else that is preferred. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear back from someone soon! Avarn

Avarn, I picked up Cubicle 7's Lone Wolf roleplaying game a while back and I've been buying up the supplements ... there is a strong nostalgia factor for me as I enjoyed many of Joe Dever's books in my youth. There's a simple, yet solid RPG in this current iteration, but I haven't had a chance to run or play a game in the system (too busy with D&D 5e and 13th Age right now). But count me as interested if something forms! I'm GMT-5 (U.S. Central Time Zone) so it would probably need to be something on a weekend for me to take part. - Brent

Hi Brent, cheers for getting back to me and for showing an interest. I've since purchased a few of the supplements myself, which have only made me even more enthusiastic about playing it. The extra character options in Heroes of Magnamund add a huge amount of variety to the game outside of the Kai Lords. I especially like that LWAG is more focused towards driving narrative over number crunching; whilst it also has a lot of depth to it, especially if you incorporate the Master rule sets. I will certainly let you know if I manage to get a group together.
