PSYSPY is not…...A superhero game with crazy superpowers....A game where you play superspies a la James Bond....A heroic setting with happy endings.PSYSPY is…...A dangerous espionage role playing game set in equally dangerous contemporary times....About a group of operatives with subtle psychic powers who work for a clandestine organization that tasks them to participate in activities that often are deemed illegal and immoral....Sometimes also about regular people with latent psychic abilities who get caught in a web of international conspiracy and murder. Examples of acceptable PSY abilities: Fear Project Pain Illusion Disguise Invisibility (to the naked eye--not to motion sensors, cameras, etc) Remote Viewing Telepathy Mind Probe Enhance Strength Mend Injury Enhance Speed Omni-language Block Detect/Conceal Darksight Control Beast Slumber Each campaign in this setting represents a standalone “season” that doesn’t require previous knowledge or play through of the previous one. Season 2, estimated to begin around 2/25, will be a good jumping on point for new players.Season 1The first season saw current Russian and former Soviet satellite country nationals become first time or second time agents of the shadowy REDWOOD program. After carrying out several assignments, the agents discovered that they were lied to and manipulated by their handlers into joining the agency in order to take part in the kidnapping and murder of innocents. As a result, the agents made a desperate and costly escape for parts unknown.Season 2This next season will focus on the second of three PSY agencies that operate clandestinely across the globe. Specifically, it will focus on the American organization known as ULTRA.The system we’re using is a slightly modified version of Lasers & Feelings. Primarily, we will use Discord for voice and general chat.We run every Sunday at 1pm US CST and sessions typically last 3-3.5 hours.PM if interested.
