Looking for 1 more player to round out our party of 5th level characters. This is a long-term campaign, with heavy role play, where the actions and decisions of the players have overarching consequences. Consistent, on-time attendance is an absolute must, if you are unable to show up on a weekly basis without providing notice for tardiness or absence then this is not a game for you. The setting is Forgotten Realms. No prior knowledge is necessary, if you are a religious follower of that setting, please be mindful that I am very loose with the canon as far as the story goes. NPCs, locations and events may or may not exist, and they may not exist in the same way you expect. What I'm looking for in a player: A willingness to role play with the other characters, and commit themselves to campaign's story. The other players enjoy RPing in between sessions, taking detailed notes and immersing themselves in the story. They all have intricate backgrounds and have put a lot of work into making their characters. You should too. Someone that can go with the flow. I impose some house rules in order to make things a bit easier to manage for everyone. My philosophy is to make very challenging situations, but rule in favor of the players more often than not. In-game rule lawyering will not be tolerated. If there's a ruling you disagree with, we can discuss it between sessions. Of course there are exceptions to this if the stakes are high enough. Valuing substance over style. Creating an optimized character is absolutely fine, but the emphasis should be on the story - who your character is, and what their place in the world is. A min-maxed combat oriented character probably won't fit in well in a session that is heavy on social encounters and exploration. Someone with a sense of humor. We do have very serious and dramatic moments, but humorous moments are a good break from a session getting too heavy. What you can expect from me: A detailed story with a wide variety of monsters, NPCs, locations and intrigue. A lot of effort in creating player handouts, maps, quest-lines and homebrewed enemies/items. Interest in your character and the development of their story. Player driven sessions where the party's decisions matter.
