Bio -------- My name is Peyton and I am a 23 year old dad. I grew up on Tolkien and video games alike, and i was always a fan of fantasy but never was I able to get a game group together until I was about 21. After watching the fantastic show, Critical Role, I became obsessed with D&D and could not stop until I played some myself. After running 2 year long campaigns for my friends (one in roll20, and one in person) I just can't get enough. We just finished our 2nd campaign around level 12 and look to start the new one as a player in the coming weeks as my one friend takes over in the DM role. I tend to a rather serious DM in my content, but I am also always up for a good laugh. I will write the campaign as if it was high fantasy drama movie in tone; however, I do not intend to play it that way 100% of the time. I mean - it is D&D. Remember earlier I said I am a dad? Well I do have a two year old who is very well behaved and I recently got the ability to not work on sunday at all anymore - as a result freeing me up for this; but, that does mean there may be times where i might need to get up for a quick break to talk to her or get her food or so on, you know baby things. About the Campaign -------------------------------- So largely that is up in the air. I like to host a group *Session 0* in which I bring up the map I designed with country outlines, but with no names or titles of any kind, and as you all select what you want to play we design the world together. I have done this once with player revealing what they intend to play and once without. Personally that is up to you all, I don't mind either way but I find that the players enjoy the world a but more if you help create it. It also tends to scare away the DM protecting his special world situation that often arises. I do not have an issue with any class or race they wizards have ever published themselves, and that does included unearthed arcana; however, if you do find you want to play something else or want to create a race (not class) please just talk to me and we can work through it. This does mean however though, I will not tolerate several type of behavior. 1. No Murder hobos 2. No Shining Stars (Players who tend to try and be in the spotlight all the time) 3. No disruptive players/characters (If we are stopping the game ever 10 minutes because you or a character trait) 4. No me first party Second I do also tend to use a few house rules that we may end up using as well. 1.
