When I set Bar X Link in campaign settings then drag out a monster from compendium all values are empty and there are no links. I've tried using 'apply default settings' but nothing fixes it. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe Ender was talking about using the game settings to specify the token bars for tokens dragged from the compendium (such as with the Monster Manual or Volo's Guide to Monsters) where a token is already provided.
Yeah, I've been doing it manually that way and it works though I assumed from the settings description there was a way to make a global default for tokens.
