New world of darkness Vampire the Requiem (first time Storytelling ever hopefully)

I've been wanting to run a vampire game for a while now but i've noticed that I need to hear what sort of characters my players would like to play before I can make story that my players can be interested in. I also was wondering if anyone would like to co story tell with me? So I can learn from someone who has done this before. I guess what i'm trying to put across is that i dont want to put anything into stone before i have story and having people interested with ideas could help me create then i could set it up. But I am new and would like players who aren't so new to the systems.
I'd be up for playing and discussing. I have plenty of experience but I wouldn't call myself a full-on veteran. I have run campaigns myself before so I have a rough idea of what works and what doesn't from trial and error.
Okay I'll invite you to the game I've set up for this and if you cant make first discussion ill set up another day we could talk.
Hello. Can I inquire about time zone and day? I'd like to play very much, especially if it will be a Blood and Smoke (rules updated) game. And as for a character, I have a lot of character concepts I'd like to play, starting from an Ordo Dracul scientist, and ending with religious fanatics of either Lancea et Sanctum or Circle of the Crone.
I've played both the WoD since 1999 so I am well versed in the lore of the nWoD. Depending on the time zone and actual time I would be playing an Ordo Dracul that is seeking a way out as quickly as she can push her undead body. The other option I have in mind would be a Urban Savage into body modifications of the Circle (partially inspired by the Circle of Orboros in Horde).
I crave this, but I have always found Vampires a mite distasteful. If I could come up with a kick-ass backstory justifying my playing as a Sin-Eater or hopefully a Mage, would you let me in?
If there is cross-play then I will bow out. While VtR is not my favorite I actually prefer WtF or MtA it is much harder to include the other types in such a game.
oh nvm then - i would hate to be a dick, shout "EVERYTHING MUST BE MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY" and then drive out someone more qualified than me. Enjoy your game, and message me if i can be accommodated without causing party strife.

I agree with Hanako, wouldn't want non-vampire PCs to be a part of the campaign since it detracts from the usually highly-competitive and very discriminatory vampire society that views other supernaturals as food or threats. Gives the players and usually Storytellers headaches of going on lengths to explain why vamps would be associating with non-kindred for a long-term (emphasis long-term) campaign. Also in my experience, and in the opinion of many players out there cross-storyteling can get imbalanced because non-vampire supenaturals have many mechanical advantages over vampires (especially mages and sineaters because they're not hindered by the same weaknesses or psychology. Heck, certain mages can conjure fireballs and one-shot an elder vampire. And even then if someone goes to all that trouble to fit it in to have their special golden character and doesn't overpower it could easily become dead-weight (ex. vampires can survive gunshots a lot more easier than mages can) or resented by the rest of the group for having to be "that guy." Finally, I think adding in non-vampire PCs just brings in extra mechanical stuff that the Storyteller would worry about. Since we got a new storyteller, we shouldn't burden them with ridiculous requests and etc..
I have a fairly big group now situated but i'll be sure to msg anyone whos interested (in order of post) if people duck out which is often in roll20 games. As for time it will vary but i am mountain standard time.
Also I wasn't going to go by blood and smoke simply because I have not read them. I might as well look at blood and smoke though.
Crossplay only works if you know exactly how someone will slot in and can figure out how to keep each creature on the right amount of leash without it being completely unrealistic ( ha ) or being exclusionary. Vampires don't play well with other supernaturals as more than at best disposable contacts because most of them are immune to the bread and butter of vampire control, usually have the power to screw them over, and work in ways they don't even understand. Sin-Eaters don't respond well to the blood and won't be slaved by it, so you can't even excuse them treading around in kindred space. They all at least have bonuses to resist by any rules. Especially if you involve any politics, where something like this will earn you a reputation you're not unliving down. It's difficult. Stories of crossplay almost always end in a bloodbath of PCs within about 2 sessions. Especially with a mage, unless you want to wake up with your heart conspicuously a few metres across the room from where you left it.
Been mastering VtR since it got released, I do not fancy crossplays much even if sometimes spice up campaign if you know how to handle them, if you are still running this take me into account!
I have an Invictus Deva itching to be put at a game. tell me if you are still interested in more players and if are you using voice or text as meda
I am interested again after having read the vampire lore. Can I be let back into the game as an Camarilla Nosferatu?
IDo you mean the ancient Roman Camarila?
oops, i forgot this was Requiem. I meant Lancea Sanctum.
