A while back, like a long while back, I had idea for a wargame, called VOx-hole
The idea of VOx hole was a steampunk science-fantasy wargame based around the Victorians/Edwardian eras. the game verse would had steam tanks and Landships
During this time, I spend alot of time fiddling with rule systems, ideas, and other thing. May it been books, forums, wikis, drawing, ect.
Also during this time I got kick off a "lets us not name" fourm that other hated the idea of homebrewing and steampunk and was pera-banned form for outsmarting there leader "stubby", and was called a other "Dumb ass idiotic moron 13 year butthurt"
While this was more of a "troll" forum,...I am not a moron, nor 13 year old, nor was"butthurt"
So too prove I could make a better and easier system, I created the "paper war" game engine
This is not like normal wargaming systems where there a general theme of any sort
Paper wars was in part inspired by the games "Dvorak" and "Nomic" and in the other part inspired by "Lonk N load" games and Pz.8 wargaming page
what makes paper wars unique is that you can make your own worlds, stats, jargons, ect. Make it A rpg, a wargame, a hybrid, Heck, make a brand new type of table top game grene.
The basic you need for this game are
Dice
Pips
paper(lots of paper)*
pens and\or pencils
and scissors*
*unless your using roll20, in which case, just use photo shop or paint
The game works kind of like this
Each token( for a unit) gots four basic stats to start off with, which you get to choose what they stand for, though as the basic system standard, they are
the second part is the about gameplay
MP stands for "moment point" which can be a square, hex, space, or inch
Heath stands for well, heath number, which can be "how much heath the unit has" or "the Save number you can add to that unit save roll"
Range can stand for what ever unit your using for MP, it can also get change for melee
and the last one is FP: standing for "Fire power", which can be how many dice you attack with or how much you can add to the attack roll
The landscape as big or as little a part in gameplay as you want it too.
you can have it where "A river -2 on MP" or have it where "person can leap over objects and or hazzards at the cost of 2 MP for every 1 Hex, square, or inch"
Also, another thing about this game is there a "group ruling" every one must be ok with your units stats. so there is a bit of politics involded with this game
