Hi there everyone! My name is Tom, I have 17 years of experience with both playing and running games, and lately, I started thinking... Hey, you know what I'd love to run? This kind of... Epic campaign in the liking of Baldur's Gate saga. Starting low, personal, more as a nice adventuring story with some ominous background, but growing into huge, world-saving (of sorts) scenario. I run SKT live, I have some experience with the first more sandbox part of the campaign, but for scheduling reasons, I had to unfortunately stop. I miss it sooooo much . And decided, that it may be the time to run this game, or at least attempt to, on roll20. Thing is, for now, I don't really have much details. I want to run the full game, as available here on roll20, but 50 bucks is not small money for me, and first I'd like to gauge interest, check if people I'd like to play with want to play this campaign. This means, that... Currently, there are not many specific details about the game. Only things I know are: Timezone: Easy thing, when we start playing it will be CET. GMT/UTC+1. Form: Either voice-only or text-only. The second one will be much easier to schedule. Frequency: Either weekly or every two weeks (with the biweekly session being longer). Day: The toughest one. In the weekly variant - Mondays or Fridays. In biweekly variant - add Saturdays. Time: Evening hours. I work shifts and sometimes weekends or nights, so there may be some rescheduling needed. Structure of the campaign: Focused sandbox at the beginning, with strong main plot appearing in the early middle of the campaign. How long would that go?: As long as possible. Maybe even a year or more. This is a really long but satisfying campaign. Pay to play: Absolutely not. Unless you will start throwing money at me for some reason. Why would you do that tho!? D: What do I offer? First of all, lots of immersion. But not in numbers mind you. I do not care about how people get fed, how much a horseshoe costs, or things like that. I care about story. I care about people in the story. I care about feeling the weight of your choices, and feeling that these choices influence the world around your characters. I like encouraging deep roleplaying, not just spouting one-liners (though they are cool!), but creating relationships, friendships, maybe even romance! Sometimes combat would go completely narrative, as a series of cinematic challenges, not just sitting next to each other and rolling d20s hoping that someone will roll high enough to kill another guy. And also I don't care about who you are, everyone is welcome and everyone will get what they find exciting and fun in RPGs. I really admire treating my players as good friends, and being fan of their characters. And giving y'all awesome challenges to have as much fun as possible. This campaign is probably the best one that Wizards ever created, having both this oldschool feel of creating something with passion and heart, and modern approach to storytelling. I love it, I'd be happy to run it, but... Well, spending $50 for something and then not having players to run it would suck. Major. B... Lollipop. So... Now it's your turn guys and gals! Anyone interested, please introduce yourself, tell me what you think, do you long for a big, epic campaign? I sure hope so! HERE IS THE LISTING!!!!!!!!!
