Hey, I'm Zack, your friendly neighborhood GM, and I'm hosting a new campaign for anyone who would like to play DnD. The idea is that people will sign up each week, and play in a persistent world of ever changing characters and situations. I'll do this by playing down the aspects of an overarching story, and creating instanced adventures for characters each week (or by avaliability) for the people with an itch to play. Overtime playing Dnd, you realize people havelife obligations as to where you may not have the ability to commit a long time each week to play. I want to do this because I thought it would be perfect for people who would like to try-out DnD as a one shot campaign, or lead very busy lives where maybe you can only play once every couple of months. Regular players are also a great fit because this should keep things exciting and new as if the adventures are instanced, you can see a variety of environments, characters, and scratch that creative bone that every DnD player has. CHARACTERS: Characters will first be made on https://www.orcpub2.com/pages/dnd/5e/character-builder and when approved ported over to the roll20 campaign for play. -The concept of the game circles around the concept of an 'Adventurer's Guild' who contracts who PC's to do quests, so please include in your character sheet your PC's life events leading up to joining the guild To keep things quick and easy, the stat spread, for all characters will be a standard array of the following numbers [16, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9] distributed as you see fit. - Please when choosing feats/spells/skills add the full feats/spells/skills description of what your feat/spell/skill does - Every character will be reviewed and approved by me before allowed use in the campaign LEVELING: Players will gain experience for: Combat Killing creatures (Killing blows don't grant more XP) Completing an encounter Roleplay Successfully influencing NPCS that has an outcome on the completion of your quest ( Don't just try to persaude everyone you see to get random XP it won't happen.) Staying in character/Very good roleplay Problem solving Finding creative solutions to obstacles Adventure Completion GEAR: Gold will be given as spoils for combat, quest completion, or through roleplay but gear will for the most part, be purchased out of game, send me messages with how much gold you are spending and what you are going to buy. - You may also find some items during quests - Ammo does not exist Spells and Rests: (Tentative) Quests will have a static number of rests that are defined when you sign up for it depending on the difficulty of the quest ex. Quest A: 3 short rests 1 long rest Quest B: 5 short rests 2 long rests Quest C: 2 short rests 0 long rests Scheduling: As for times and dates, A quest board will be posted, for availability, as to where you would sign up to play. When you join the game, times for quests will usually fall within the majority, but the free form nature of this allows me to make a game that eventually work for everyone. What I need for you to start: A dnd character sheet posted on https://www.orcpub2.com/pages/dnd/5e/character-builder sent to me (Everyone will start at level 2) Your character's backstory up to joining the Adventurers Guild Your general availability of free times you can play I hope this wasn't too long of a read, and anything wasn't left out, you can post your characters here, message me directly or email me at gamemaster@13technologies.com I'm accepting any number of players to be in the group, but signups for actual play will be limited to 4, or at a maximum 5 characters per session. If you have any questions, message me directly or post here and I will get back to you when I can. - Zack

He's a Rogue Wizard (not actually a Wizard)! Backstory can be found in the Orc Pub Description. I'm generally available during these times: (all times are GMT +8) Friday 8PM onwards Saturday All day Sunday 8AM - 12 NOON

How is this different from a Westmarches game? How would you deal with the level difference if the available players are on different "tiers" ?

To answer your questions, It is actually exactly a west marches game, I just didn't know the term before I made the post As for the level difference, either quest entry would be limited, or players would have their power level restricted but with a caveat like retaining proficiency bonus.
