[LFP] [D&D 5e] [18+] New Streamed Game Looking for Players

Howdy, I'm Jaken and I'm looking to start a Twitch stream Dungeons & Dragons 5 th Edition game, played in Roll20. The campaign will be streamed in weekly sessions, and the first campaign will run around 25 sessions, more or less as is the case with roleplaying games. I'm looking for strong roleplayers who are not camera-shy. About Me: My goal with this stream is to build myself as my own brand. I've been game-mastering for sixteen years. I'm in my late twenties and father to a toddler, with a new kid on the way. I like action and roleplaying equally – expect mostly story-driven combat with a few filler fights here and there. I like short, occasional dungeon crawls, as well. About the Campaign – In General: Sessions will be weekly and run 4 hours. Players will need to be available 30 minutes prior to start time in order to double check equipment for the stream. At the two-hour mark there will be a 10-15 minute break. The system is D&D 5e. The setting is of my own making. Class restrictions include no clerics or paladins. As of right now, I am considering allowing the Alchemist class ( link ), but beyond that only PHB classes not restricted as before. Some subclasses may be restricted, but I'm open to all available in the PHB and Xanathar's. Race restrictions are tentative and include no tieflings, dragonborn, or any race from Volo's, except Goliath and Tabaxi. However, if a player and I can work out a good story for a desired race, including monstrous races, I'm happy to add them in. No homebrew races. About the Campaign – Story Specific: The setting is relatively low-magic. If you are familiar with the Witcher series, its similar but magic is less niche and has more exposure to the general populace. Races in my setting tend to stick to themselves, though trade flows freely between races that are not wholly hostile. The kingdom in which the campaign takes place is human-centric. This will be an underlying theme, as few if any of the party will themselves be human. The kingdom itself is in a time of uncertainty, as an empire to the west has vowed to unify all other human nations under one rule, by force if necessary. The players will be members of the Adventurer's Guild, an old, upstanding organization with a beneficial relationship with its host nation. Player Prerequisites: Above all else, commitment. This will be a weekly stream, and I can't run a good show with half a party. If life happens and you have to miss a session, I need to know in advance as soon as possible. A clear, functional microphone and as little background noise as possible. A suitable webcam, and a willingness to be shown to the world through it. In-depth roleplaying (character voices are a plus!). Understanding of 5 th Edition. Due to the nature of this being as much a show as a game, I can't accept players new to 5 th Edition or roleplaying in general. Basically, if its your turn, I need you to be ready to act and know how. We will be using Discord for off-air communication and Discord, Skype or Google Hangouts (whichever is optimal for video) during live sessions. Basic understanding of these program isn't prerequisite, but it wouldn't hurt! As this will be live-streamed, I'm only looking for legal adults. Potential Questions You May Have: What day of the week will we play? That's currently not set in stone. I, personally, am free any day or time outside of Thursdays or Saturday afternoons. How many player slots are available? I'm looking to fill at least four slots, at most five. Currently, I may have filled four slots, but they need to be vetted. I'm still on the fence about adding a fifth. Can I (we) apply as a group? Yes! However, no groups bigger than three people at this time. I stream/run a YouTube channel/make public appearances for my day job/run an online storefront/etc. Will there be plugs for the like? Of course! If we have anyone that wants to plug their own work, than at the end of every session we will do round-table plugs. As a player can I stream your game? No. Assuming this stream gains any kind of traction, I want a unified viewer base. You may host my stream (and please do!). As I player may I record your game and upload it? No, as above. After this campaign ends, do you have anything planned? Yes! There is potential to continue this campaign beyond the first story arch, with the same group of players/characters. Regardless, as I hope to make this a regular Twitch show, I will be planning my next campaign. Once you're in the door, I will definitely be looking to keep you around (so I don't have to do this all over again). Alright, now that we've got all of that out of the way: INTERESTED? If so, please PM me and/or reply below (saves me from having to bump).
What time zone are you in?
I'm in CST. Saturdays I'm free after 5pm, my time.
I'm so incredibly excited about the idea of this campaign! I am located in CDT, a writer/GM/artist, and I've been playing tabletop games for a few years--my local 5e group just disbanded our campaign. I'm free pretty much any weekday, in the evening. Get in touch!
I may have filled my slots. I'll now be vetting my current player pool. If you'd like to throw your hat in the ring in the event one or more of the current group doesn't work out, please contact me.
