What We’re Looking For : An ADULT (25+) DM who is invested in role play and story and doesn’t encourage murder hobos. It's also worth noting that just because we want the DM to be over 25 doesn't mean we’re interested in having ERP or anything like that, we just prefer playing with people who are close to our collective age range. A DM who can be sensitive to others both as people and as fellow gamers. A DM who can handle the demands of DMing, both from world-based stuff like NPC building and world crafting, to story stuff like weaving in character backgrounds and such so the story becomes more relevant to the characters and the players themselves. Something lasting that we can all get invested in (sorry, aren’t big on one-shots). We would really prefer to have a brand new campaign. We’d also like to note that as players, we come from an old school line of thought that designing characters should, to some degree, involve talking to the rest of the players. A party doesn't have to have a "holy trinity" of tank, healer, and caster, but there should be some balance involved, and shouldn't be too heavy in one direction or another. There's a number of reasons for why we feel this way... which we can explain if you reach out to us, but we don't want to clog our listing more than we already have. We'd also like to know that the players and DM will all get together before the game and have a Session 0/Meet and Greet where they can discuss what they want from the game, what homebrew rules are being used, etc. Nothing is worse than everyone coming to the table with wildly different desires and expectations, and finding out after people have invested time and effort in to their characters. In short... we want to find a DM that treats this as a cooperative game, not as a group game with a bunch of individuals all tugging at the game to "get theirs" without any thought for the other players. Here are some specifics : System : D&D 5e World: Homebrew is preferred, or a homebrew campaign in an established world such as Forgotten Realms or Tal'dorei.
