I'm part of a campaign group with dozens of people. The notification in the top right has a little 10 in it, I click on it, dismiss those messages, then I refresh and 10 more show up, so I dismiss those messages and refresh, then 10 more pop up. This keeps going until I have successfully gotten rid of every single message notification of every single thread topic in the entire discussion board (Ends up being well over 100 notifications a lot of the time). This doesn't seem like a very effective way to show notifications. My suggestions: Either display the notifications on a page like you display private messages, and allow for a feature that has a check box next to each notification so you can select and dismiss specific ones all at once, (While also featuring a select all button for a mass dismiss) OR Allow me the ability to not "follow" the discussion so I'm not constantly getting notifications from it. The reason I put "follow" in quotes is because I guess it's technically not being followed because I never clicked "follow this campaign discussion" or anything like that. It just automatically forces you into receiving all these notifications. So if there was a button somewhere I could click that would make it so I no longer get the notifications without completely having to leave the campaign. That would be amazing!
