***Text only game*** Hello, i'm a little bored with d&d and pathfinder, so I've decided to get a crew together and run a Shadowrun game. The game premise will be that the players are an established crew of shadowrunners who will be approached for recruitment by a PMC called Pantheon. New players are welcome to join if they have never played shadowrun. For now i need a group of 3-5 players, no more, no less. If you are interested, please reply to this thread with a list of days and times you are able to play for a time block of 4-6 hours. Edit: After putting some feelers out for a day and time to play i have chosen to run the game between the hours of 1-6pm EST on saturdays, hopefully this will work out for some European time zones as well. Party will always have access to skillsets they need through fellow PMC members when and if they are needed or required for missions. So with this in mind, build the character you want to play, don't worry about making a perfectly balanced party. But by all means feel free to coordinate if you *do* want to make a well oiled machine of a crew. If your characters are built to a frustrating level of overpoweredness from a GM standpoint ((like a gunslinger adept with a dice pool north of 20)) expect the opposition to adapt and difficulty to increase. Allowed Material Almost all 4e material will be allowed, just run it by me if its in a more obscure book. If i don't want something in the game i will let you know. If you can not direct me to a PDF of the material, don't ask to use it. Character Generation Step 1 - Make a standard 400 bp character using the guidelines given in the Shadowrun 20th Anniversary Core Book. Step 1a - Use the following house rule for free BP to be spent on Contacts. Free BP equal to the following formula to be spent on Contacts: (Charisma + Your Highest Attribute + Your Highest Skill x2) This formula uses your Base Scores, not Augmented Values. If Charisma happens to be your highest Base Skill, then yes, you may use it twice in the formula. Magic, Resonance or Edge may be used as your Highest Attribute if they apply. The Loyalty and Connection ratings of these contacts are capped by your Base Charisma score in regard to improving them with free BPs. You may then spend your original BPs to improve them beyond this cap if you wish. Step 2 Over your career you have accumulated 100 Karma to enhance your character beyond the base character generation process. Spend these as you wish. If you wish to convert Karma into Nuyen, do so at a rate of 1 Karma per 10,000 Nuyen. Chances are you will be improving things you have already purchased with your BPs, in this instance simply pay the difference in the cost of the improvements. Step 3 If you have any questions or need help building a character let me know, I am happy to help.
