Setting Buffs

Hello! I'm trying to set buffs on my pathfinder character sheet. When my brother opens up this for his character sheet there is a drop down menu which lists all the common buffs. However on my page it isn't showing up. Only thing that shows up for me is a + to manually set one up. How can I get the dropdown menu for easier use? thanks

You may still using the older version of buffs. Check Settings|Sheet Configuration|Buffs and enable "Use buff bonus types and stacking". Use the Merge button to migrate any old buffs you may have to the newer version. Verify they have transferred over, then you can delete the old ones using the trashcan button located near the merge button. Looks like the clickable "hot spot" for the trashcan button" is messed up. You'll have to hover around to the right of the Merge button to find to clickable area. (ugh, we'll get the fixed...) Cool beans. You can use the custom tab/page to create an attribute, then create a buff, attach a buff 1-6, and under the Bonus selector, choose the custom attribute you are using from the custom page.
Hi Vince, I'm also having this issue though slightly different, when I add my buff "Magic Vestment" the bonus indicates +4 and its greyed out so I can't adjust it, it needs to be 3 since I am at level 12. Do you know how I could change it? Thanks!

I'm in the process of revisiting our common buff's. I've found a few typos and a little strangeness with some of the floor-based macros that require a manual recalc to get the correct mod. Magical Vestment, try using the formula 1 + {floor((@{level} + 1) /5),4}kl1 EDIT/Update: or this would probably be easier to read (at least for me) 1 + {4,floor((@{level} - 1)/4)}kl1
Sorry I'm totally unfamiliar with computers in general. Where would I insert the "1 + {floor((@{level} + 1) /5),4}kl1" ? I wish there was a video or something showing how this works for noobs like myself.

If you are using the Community sheet, there is a buff and conditions section built into the sheet just below the logo/header row. You can manually enter buffs and/or use a selector for common buffs. Use the buff calc field to enter formulas. If you are not using the Community sheet (gasp), it will depend on the sheet where best to add buffs. In this case, it's an armor buff to AC.

Ahh awesome, almost there! On my screen I have everything except for the Buff calc and Bonus Type doesn't show up, only "Bonus" and "Buff" show up. I'm trying to locate the "show more fields" button but I don't see anything like that. I need to unlock the lock i see, not sure how would I do that?

You just need to play around with the first two buttons to get a feel for what they are doing. Use the button in the top corner of the section to expand/contract or set 2-column view. There's also a per-row arrow next to the row number that can expand/collapse the row. The lock overrides the per-row navigation.
thanks got it! appreciate it Vince!
