Tell me about yourself: Hello! My name is Chloe! I'm a 22 year old writer based in the capitol of the US. I've been playing D&D for nearly five years now, and it has become a significant passion of mine. :) I'm currently writing a Fantasy Novel, and may be working on a Netflix pilot series within the next year! (Crossing my fingers!) What about D&D interests you: I'm a writer, so the collaborative storytelling process was what originally drew me in. I find D&D so fascinating because it's very similar to a choose-your-own-adventure type novel, except you're not the only one making choices. Character development, moral challenges, and high-stakes scenarios are my muse. I put a lot of life into each of the characters I create, so I love bringing them to the table and watching how they fare in the world. Discord: Rookie#1019 Name: Quill Umberland Class: Fighter (6) / Swashbuckler (3) Race: Human Age: 17 Character Occupation/Background: Noble Backstory: Quill was born into nobility. His father, the Lord Regent of Blackwater, ruled over his domain with a firm grip for quite some time. Unfortunately for Lord Blackwater, his only two sons were bastards of illegitimate birth. His eldest son, Quinten Blackwater, chose to live as a member of his mother's noble house, serving as one of their own until the day came for him to take his father's throne. Quill, however, was raised in Blackwater under father's supervision. He was trained from an early age by the Imperial Guard, as well as by his mother's spymaster, as there were constant threats of assassination from rebel civilians, conspiring to end the monarchy in exchange for a more democratic republic. While most would say Lord Blackwater and all of the other Noble Houses treatment of the lower class citizens earned this rage, Quill was none the wiser, and remained faithful to his mother and father. At the age of 17, an assassination attempt on his life nearly succeeded. It was later revealed that the assassin did not act under the Republic's command, but rather that of House Tann, the noble house of which his brother resided. It was clear Quill posed a possible threat to his brother's position for the throne, and these attempts on his life became a common occurrence in the following year, before Blackwater ultimately fell. House Tann had utilized the constant attacks from the Republic to weaken House Blackwater's infrastructure until they were able to swoop in themselves. Quentin and his half siblings entered the throne room with the intent of committing regicide. Lady Blackwater's spymaster was able to flee the castle with Quill in order to save him from certain death at his half-brother's hands. For months, they traveled as far from the kingdom as possible, utilizing messenger owls to keep in contact with the few spies remaining within Blackwater. A week before his 18th birthday, the Spymaster received a message informing her of the deaths of both Lord and Lady Blackwater. It was rumored to have been a sudden illness, but everyone knew better. Soon after, Quentin and House Tann claimed that Lord Blackwater left documentation dignifying Quentin as the chosen heir. Quill was given very little time to mourn, as eventually seekers from House Tann caught their trail. The Spymaster was killed while trying to defend Quill, leaving him alone, tailed by assasins and wondering what life held for him now that he'd lost everything. - So, yes, I am a girl haha // However, I am going to be using a voice altering program which makes my voice sounds like a guys! It honestly sounds pretty realistic, and were Quill to die, I could always switch it up and roll a female character back up! I'm really excited about the prospect of a roleplay heavy campaign. As a writer, roleplay and character development are my favorite parts of the game! .
