So new I dont know where to begin

Hi there, Im new to RPGs, really new, as in I've never played before, I live in rural Ireland and the only way I could play is driving two hours and that isnt happening. Im looking for a group to play with, perhaps a beginners group or at least with some people who have the patience to mentor and see me through. I wanted to start playing as Ive been listening to ''The Adventure Zone'' and ''The Glass Cannon Podcast'' and it just seems like the best fun! Also has anyone any advice that would help me find a game or get started? Thanks

I would be happy to sit down and talk sometime mate.  Are you looking for D and D or Pathfinder, maybe White Wolf Games, something space related?

Wow that would be great. My only reference to anything is D and D or Pathfinder, Ive no idea about anything else. I wouldnt think im actually ready to start playing yet, would need to do some research etc. Any suggestions on what to do/ where to start?
