Considering Hosting a Game Session Sat/Sun - Open to times [New-sh] GM - Module not determined D&D 5e

Howdy All: Just a feeler for interest, I am currently GMing Lost Mines, and am loving it (though my grasp of the rules leaves much to be desired). I'm toying with getting another module that seems like it could be fun (yes, I also toy with the idea of having groups cross paths from time to time - not fighting each other, just for flavor. If anyone is interested let me know: (1) How much experience you have with 5e, so you can help correct me on rules when I F up. (2) Any preference for TYPE of campaign - like what would be most fun for you (so I can decide what I want to get) (3) You're not tied to what you answer here, but what kind of character sounds fun to you to play  (4) How old are you (5) Are you employed (6) Anything else you think is important

i would love to be in a group saturday nights i have a few character concepts im wanting to try ive been playing 5 e for over a year i have no preferences hoping to play a LE oathbreaker pally of tiamat or a LE necromancer of Bhaal 37 years old i work at a factory saturdays are my only guaranteed night off

Would you mind having a relatively new GM? Saturdays might not be the world's most consistent for me (When my gal leaves me to my own devices, alcohol gets consumed - though, I KIND of like the idea of an all day game session on Saturdays (so I'd just be getting drunk WITH you guys). My schedule on Sat is generally take the lady to breakfast (8:00 AM PST), then a hike or some other fun activity with her, then around noon I am free the rest of the day. Let me know your thoughts! As for me 32 years old, I am waiting on my bar exam results (to be an attorney), and I work at a lawfirm that specializes in employment law.  I've also been toying with like one/two day adventures, I kind of like the idea of having a bunch of people playing different things where I can have them cross paths and kind of work through the world together. 

(1) Been playing 5e for a year and a half, large campaigns and one shots. Pathfinder for 2 months. (2) No real preference here, grand adventures and dungeon crawls both interest me (3) I like charismatic characters (not so much the stat but personality wise) I enjoy playing both spellcasters and melee fighters, however Monk is my favourite class. (4) I am 19 (5) I work at a Walmart, I work mostly weekdays. Occasionally Saturdays but only in the morning, I am on Eastern time. (6) Saturday is the only day that works for myself as I have a Pathfinder campaign on Sundays, and weekdays are out of the question due to work.

(1) About a year though I have 1900+ with 5e on Roll20. Id love to help out and give tips (2) Id love CoS or something. I dont really mind what you get  (3) I want to play either my goofy moon druid or my Samurai looking Hexblader. Also thinking 2 Int Orc Divination Wizard. Yeah. (4) 20 (5) Yurp. I am currently an Art manager for a production company while I volunteer my time as a Firefighter. (6) Will there be cookies?

(1) 5e is the main D&D I've played and am well versed enough in it that I have DMed a large campaign that went rather well. I've got about 15 months experience with it. (2) No preference, I like playing different types of campaigns and have no set favourite (3) My favourite type of character so far has been a halfling rogue but also a ranger sounds rather cool and something I want to try out at some point. (4) 30 (5) Yes, I am a chef (6) I have no preference on the day but would prefer to have games running on one set night or advance warning of any changes so I can tweak the rota at work to ensure I'm available.

I think with the 4 of you, it could work - What do you guys think about Satudays from say 2PM PST - whenever? I'm going to do a little homework to decide which module to get, but we should be good to start this Saturday if it's good w everyone. If not, two saturdays from now for sure. 

Do you think we can have it alittle bit more in the evening?

I'm open to that - Can you all post ranges of time (preferably in PST terms) that would work for you so we can figure something out? I still haven't decided which module to get, I'd like it to work for segwaying my Lost mines folk into ( in another campaign obviously). CoS looks kind of cool if I can figure out the adventurer's league thing); but I'm reviewing other stuff as well.

You would be using Adventure league rules? and honestly 7 pm est should be fine with me. (4 pm pst). 

One question I would have would be if the group and yourself as a gm would be alright with evil based characters

As mentioned above, I'm a fairly new DM; I think evil based characters would be a little to difficult for me to roll w (I'm not comfortable enough with the rules to roll with a wild card like that)

I wouldn't be using adventure league rules unless I chose an Adventure League campaign, which would require me to learn more rules I think

I'm good for anything past 3pm pst

What would we be using for voice?

In game chat in all likelihood, though the campaign I'm running runs into hiccups with that every now and then - if that happens we can switch to something else.

Saturdays 4pm PST through whenever - how's everyone feel about that? I'm not sure this Saturday will happen, but I'll keep everyone informed. Still looking at modules, I might get the Hoard of the Dragon Queen - it looks interesting to me. Any objections?

(3) You're not tied to what you answer here, but what kind of character sounds fun to you to play: I like a well rounded character.  Someone who can handle themselves in combat, but has enough charisma to talk his way out of combat if he has to.  I also like puzzles and mysteries as well. (4) How old are you : 35  (5) Are you employed : Yes 40 hour a week 9 to 5.  Same for the wife - she doesn't want to play, just like talking about her.  Newly weds. (6) Anything else you think is important: Life time geek, member of the SCA, mid level swordsmen, beginner polearmsman and a writer.  I have written several books, working on getting them published.  I am also a 24 year veteran of RPGs so I can help you out if you need it ::smiles:: I am a teacher by trade, I love to teach. So are you dead set on Saturdays?  I can swing them, but Friday nights would be perfect.  4 to 5 PM PST start time.
