What can decks do?

Ok, so far they look like sequential random number generators docked to the side bar. Is there any way to manipulate individual cards? To use Three-Dragon Ante as an example, you have a deck to draw from, an ante pile, a discard pile, cards in front of you, cards hidden in your hand, and the need to flip cards in your hand so they can be placed on the table face down? Am I missing something or just jumping the gun without looking at the game plan? -- TAZ
I am also curious about this. It's awesome to have this but can we really play with those cards? I can't seem to be able to move them or decide who sees them or not.
Card hand features are a bit down the line. Right now you can draw from the deck which presents what you drew to the group. If you're using the standard playing deck and not uploading your own images, you can drag the cards into the turn tracker (for, say, Savage Worlds).
That's pretty sweet. :D
That's cool, is 'down the line' before October? I'm the con coordinator for MonkeyCon (a virtual convention for indie games and other fun.) I'd love to be able to use Roll20 with custom decks for Three-Dragon Ante (uses a custom deck) and The Trouble with Rose (playing cards and a 'deck' of dominos.) Both games have hidden hands and cards played on the table. Oh, is it okay culture-wise to say/ask for features that you like from other VTTs? I love the deck handling in Taebl, but the fact that it is powered by Silverlight can be a barrier to play. -- TAZ
Down the line is a nebulous thing. If you want card hand features to be a priority (like in this thread over on the suggestions page: http://community.roll20.net/discussion/comment/2651 ), talk about it. Bump the thread. Upvote the thread. When we sound out surveys, vote for the feature. We do a lot of prioritizing based on feedback. Totally kosher to talk about other VTT's-- but you might be specific about what works in them, as we might not have used them extensively.
Okie dokie, see about adding a more detailed post to the suggestion forum. -- TAZ
