[LFG] [5eOR3.5] Open World Sandbox. Impact an ongoing game world with over 10 years of real world history!

This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of [$5/hour/player with a negotiable reduction on increased scheduled hours over paypal. Patreon is also available for ongoing weekly games (at a markedly lower rate)]. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Welcome, I would like to invite you all to an experience you won't find anywhere else. To a world no one else can bring you. I offer you the door to the ongoing campaign world of the Auneiverse. A world/cosmology where dreams of the Sleeping God shape existence and you act as the actors on the stage of history. I welcome you to Mundesa, the continent of magic, mystery, and adventure. I wonder how you will impact the ongoing political strife between the various and numerous nations. Will the map itself require revision? Perhaps you'll go forth into the unknown regions, past where any mapmaker has dared go and forge into the unknown. Maybe you'll go to Inthera and turn that magic fueled meritocracy on it's head, fueling your ambition until finally one among you proves yourselves worthy of becoming the next Emperor. Or perhaps you'll be championing heroes working for the betterment of the common man, slaying demons and the foul sorcerers who brought them forth? A villain perhaps? Bringing death and destruction, thwarting your enemies with guile and power as you research new and old ways of bring about your ambitions. Maybe you'll find some interest in the countless hours of lore that has been created by others like yourself, players who have shaped the world in an irreversible manner. Or. Maybe. You'll be the one to finally bring an end to it all, wake the Sleeping God and end all of existence. In this high fantasy setting anything is possible. In short, I offer you a lump of clay that has been molded many times, fired, and added to until it has been shaped into something I think is truly special. I look forward to working with you toward building your own unique character to add to this setting. Honestly, I truly do. Heck, maybe I'll even ask you one day if you want to act as a cameo in a future game for some other group as they first delve into the wonders of Mundesa, wouldn't be the first time. /end sales pitch Payment is negotiable depending on hours/number of players. I'm also more than happy to work out a prearranged campaign or even run a few modules if you so desire. If your looking to do a Pick Up Group style game I am capable of reaching out to some regulars and arranging that for you so no friends needed, single players welcome. Session 0, IE character creation and setting introduction+ a little roleplay and getting a feel for my DM style/me getting a feel for how you play is TOTALLY FREE. Again, Session 0 is free. Your welcome to join me in making your character, I've been known to even homebrew up something on the spot for players who are particularly creative. I'm the type of DM who likes to watch what his players do with a wet lump of clay, so Special Snowflakes are welcome, you might get an exasperated groan out of me but that's the fun. If your new to the game I'll happily teach you during the Session 0 so no worries. Actual game time is flexible to your needs, so you tell me when the session(s) is/are. Seriously hoping to see what your creativity brings, Commander_Dulton LFG listing: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/111128/mundesa-sandbox
Dulton is my GM since over 1 year, and always gives a rather engageging role play atmosphere. He is prepared but also nto afraid to deviate if the players actions lead into some direction he did not anticipated. I can heartedly reccomend him to other players.
Dulton is a great GM, and im fairly sure is the person who got me into 3.5 in the first place quite awhile back. The games that he tends to run are fairly fun, and the plot ends up being really interesting, even when you finish the main plotline and just go wandering around in the world that he has made, looking for things to do. I can definitely recommend him to other players
I have been a part of one of his campaigns for over a year now and it has been a lot of fun. He is a fair GM and rarely presents challenges that the party cannot handle. The settings he makes are dynamic and feel alive, and shows just how much he cares about his worlds and games. He gives everyone a chance to shine, and does a good job engaging the party in his worlds.
Dulton has produced a large world with many interesting characters and stories. They are willing to work alongside the players to help them learn and enjoy themselves more, and have produced maps for the players' benefit. I have enjoyed my time spent with them.

So, quick question, is the time on the LFG accurate?
Scott D. said: So, quick question, is the time on the LFG accurate? It's the time I default to but frankly speaking I'm open to any time you want to schedule. Mostly there as a means of complying with the rules for advertising myself.
Look forward to playing with you!
Hey guys, i'm actually thinking about it. Diving into a world that i can shape, have an impact on, starting from the bottom but aiming for the stars. I might be intersted and i'd love to talk about it

Hmm perhaps someone could direct me to the exact rule? I don't see it in the TOS for the forums or the LFG rules...

Suppose it's time for a BUMP... >.> Just as an update I've currently got 3 games a week going, a few could actually use a member or two if your looking to join a pre-existing game. I"m also willing to start up a new one for people, be they new and looking to learn to play or old veterans.

I do have one question regarding your campaign, Dulton: All of your players are saying you are presenting challenges that they can always win. Are you ever presenting challenges that the group CANNOT win; to teach humility, failure, and that the party is in fact mortal? Because if the party is continuously winning, it drowns out the fear of failure, and the repercussions of that failure.

Because if the party is continuously winning, it drowns out the fear of failure, and the repercussions of that failure. I have in fact thrown overwhelming odds at them in the past, they well know that they're not the biggest fish in the setting. One such scene was when they were riding atop the Guildmaster of their Adventurer's Guild polymorphed into an Adult Red Dragon while they fled a Great+ Wrym White Dragon that they had managed to piss off because plot reasons (they had just broken into the castle of the emperor of perhaps the most powerful nation in the setting) Their goal in that encounter was solely to keep their ride (the guildmaster, a powerful NPC in his own right) from dying so he could get them far enough away fast enough so they could escape the Epic Level threat. They were level 9 and did a pretty decent job but to this day they still speak in whispered awe of Ol' Hex' when his breath weapon was enough to change the weather and send them tumbling through a sleet filled blizzard. It was fantastical as all hell but a scene I'm sure they'll remember for years.
