I have two new games, and I have enemy spellcasters so while testing their spell attacks. I saw them display to public even though set to whisper. This isn't happening on my older games, as I have tested to see if it is happening on all my games
Check to make sure that the Character Settings actually state that the rolls are to be whispered. My guess is that you may have specified this in the Game Settings (outside of the VTT) but did not click the Apply Default Settings button in the Player Settings.

I open the npc sheet and when to the gear to change it query advantage and Always Whisper Rolls. When it showed it didn't work, I went and set both to default hoping that would do it but still doesn't work
