[LFP] D&D 5e - Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Need 1 or 2

*FIRST GAME WILL BE SATURDAY @4PM PST, SUBSEQUENT GAMES WILL BE WEEKLY ON SATURDAY @4PM PST - If that doesn't work for anyone let me know. Just a reminder - I'm still fairly new to DMing and Roll20, so I will need some help. I'll allow everything in PHB, Xanthar's and Sword of the Coast (just give me a heads up ASAP so I can read up on the things I need to know) *27 Point buy *I like characters with rich backstories, and who are played as who they are (not the character playing them); I am very giving with inspiration when I feel like someone is playing their character... "The town of Greenest was founded by the halfling Dharva Scatterheart, a rogue who fancied herself the queen of the Greenfields. Scatterheart passed away without ever achieving that level of eminence, but her town grew into a thriving community. Its success isn't surprising, since Greenest is the only town of any size astride the Uldoon Trail, the most direct road between the eastern cities of the Dragon Coast, Cormyr, and Sembia with the Coast Way running south to the great cities of Amn, Tethyr, and far Calimshan. The trade caravans that pass through Greenest bring gold to the town's merchants and craftsfolk, and Governor Nighthill runs the town at the behest of the inhabitants." *You decide how you arrived there, give a little freedom for story telling. Here's what I want to know from you, and the other guys will take a vote on who to add: (1) How old are you (2) Do you have a job (I use that as a proxy for responsibility and respecting people's time) (3) What kind of character do you want to play (4) How much experience with D&D? (5) Any qualms with a new DM? There will be plenty of mistakes, which could take away from the overall enjoyment if that kind of thing would bother you (6) Are you an asshole? (either answer is acceptable, I don't particularly care one way - I'm a bit of prick myself)
Info about the current members: We have a Hexblading Paladin (myself) as well as 2 Kensei Monks.
(1) Hey, I'm 26. (2) I do have a full time job, I'm super responsible. (3) I'm normally pretty open about what I play, though I like to play characters with martial capabilities. I'm thinking about maybe a pole arm fighter, or maybe a bard if you want a more supportive role to be filled. (4) Quite a lot, I've not really kept track but maybe about 5 years between pathfinder and 5e. (5) Nah (6) No, I'm a sweetheart. If you want any more info I'd be happy to answer.
Hi Longshot: Given Shadow's response, any class you'd like to play that would work well with them?
^I would be willing to go back to my original character of Bard if you wish to play a martial tankish character

Hello!  (1) How old are you? I'm 29. (2) Do you have a job? Yep, I work 6 days a week with Saturday as my off day. (3) What kind of character do you want to play? I play all sorts of characters, often rolling a D12to determine class and then a D22 (courtesy of roll20 allowing strange die to roll) to determine race as I feel the randomness adds to my enjoyment as I have to design a new character and that creation of something completely new and spontaneous is enjoyable to me. (4) How much experience with D&D? I played 3.5 back in high school for about 3 years and then was out of the game for a while, been doing 5e for a year and a half now, though I'm no expert. (5) Any qualms with a new DM? Nope. I DM occasionally for a group of IRL friends so if I ask a question of how something goes, it's more so I better learn your particular approach and can alter my own approach to that particular situation should it arise again in the future to better avoid confusion. (6) Are you an asshole? Outside of game: I'm only playfully an asshole, I'm actually quite nice. In game: Depends on my character. My High Elf Rogue was an asshole for sure, my Half-Elf Paladin was a complete sweetheart edited because I mixed up some numbers.
I don't want to make anyone change a class lol, I mean, I could play a fighter. they have enough ASI's that I could mold him into a more suportive role. Looks like the Palilock will have charisma down. + a couple of monks will have loads of wisdom skills. I could potentially go eldritch knight, or even just an intelligent fighter. that could round out a lot of edges

1. I'm 26 years old 2. Full Time job but low hours so plenty of free time usually 3. I'm happy playing any class and enjoy making new characters so anything the party needs I'd be happy to fill. One class I have been meaning to try out is a bard with the college of the maestro if it's allowed. It was written my Matt Mercer, the GM for Critical Roll. So i would be focused on either ranged DPS or support with the added bonus of increasing the damage of other characters. 4. I've played in one 5e campaign and GMed 2 sandbox games myself. Started with Pathfinder about 4 years ago (Have also played in and GMed several other tabletop RPGs) 5. I'm a relatively new GM myself and constantly trying to improve, so i know how much work goes into running a game. For me rules are always second to fun when it comes down to it, can't expect anyone at the table to have memorized every rule for every scenario.  6. I'm a friendly asshole once i get to know people and know what they're comfortable with. I am from England so 4PM PST would be midnight for me, but i'm a night owl so getting to the sessions shouldn't be an issue.
(1) 26 (2) yes but i can request whatever day off during the week for the campaign. (3) Im fairly new so im happy to try out any type. although i love role playing i cant do voices/accent *cries* so i can have the attitude of my character but i cannot bring them fully to life with a voice  (4) ive been playing on and off for 2 years (5)None (6) No im pretty nice O:)

If you still have room, and this is an AL game, I'd love to join. Adventure League is definitely the make or break for me. (1) How old are you 28 (2) Do you have a job Yes, 8-4pm but I'm usually free on the weekends. The second half of my life is D&D. I definitely started to enjoy it. (3) What kind of character do you want to play Myrkul is currently lvl1 Sorcerer, lvl1 Cleric, and lvl1 Warlock. But he is going two more levels into Warlock and the rest into Sorcerer. His entire backstory is getting the mantle back and ascending to godhood. He is an Acolyte trying to gain followers.  (4) How much experience with D&D? About 2-3 months. (5) Any qualms with a new DM?  Not at all.  (6) Are you an asshole? I'd say not at all. At least I certainly try not to be.  Backstory:  Myrkul (The Second Coming) Myrkul’s Father, Dendybar the Mottled, took Myrkul to the Northern Spire in the Hosttower of the Arcane at the age of three shortly after he inadvertently cast prestidigitation causing the death of his mother. Weeks after the incident his father started hearing voices. Some of which had induced the retitling of his child to Myrkul; that he would be the second coming. Throughout the years Myrkul would bear witness to many sacrifices to the former god, Myrkul. Few deaths were those who would threaten the faith. Others simply material gain and social standing. Dendybar would perform these ceremonies to help progress his son’s power. Perhaps so he would become the new the god of death. To take back what was taken from Dendybar’s former leader. This time with a demons blood. (he and his mother are Tieflings). Myrkul would learn more about the previous lord of bones during his hidden stay in the Northern Spire. Although his Dendybar never talked about the incident, Myrkul could tell he blamed him for her death, but that he also felt it was for a greater cause. At age 8 his father ordained him into the priesthood at a hidden church where and was given a Scythe with the holy symbol of Myrkul (white human skull) to better learn of the God he was to be, the god there was before, his past, and his failures. He trained with the Myrkulytes who would also teach him the way of the Grave. During this time Myrkul still does not know much of his sorcery bloodline. He didn’t see much of his father after his priesthood. Years later, after another incident, young Myrkul realized he could cast the spell Chill Touch when he scared the hell out of a cleric there. They weren’t entirely angry, but they were not too happy with him either. More years went by of studying with the Myrkulytes, and he would realize he had his own magic bolstering inside him and he would then leave in search for someone who could help him master his magic. He was told of a warlock, a family friend, who would help him find the way of the fiend and teach him about the arcane magic around him. He would also tell stories of a few magical items the previous god might have used or imbued. These were all tales that Myrkul was not sure of to be true. Myrkul studied with the warlock until the age of (25?) when he decided to continue to learn more about his sorcery and bloodline.
