"Softer" Dynamic light boundaries

Hiho, me again; so I'm looking at the dynamic lighting, and its all good - but something that I think would make things look a lot better would be 'softer' boundaries for dynamic light. At the moment, if I'm blocking off (say) a wall, the transition from 'visible' to 'not visible' is very sharp - is it possible to 'fuzz' these lines somehow?
This would be pretty nice, at least as an optional (might not be a good fit for everyone after all). +1

+1, but what I really care for would be a way to make torches/light sources glow/flicker/pulsate, it would be a wickedly better experience for creepy caves, or dungeons, etc. Actually, I'll go make a thread on that now :P

+1, also Brad R. idea.
+1 to more realistic lighting effects
