Basic backstory is a soldier who after the war he fought in seeks to come to terms with what he and his comrades did during the conflict. In doing so he joins a monastery. Several years of training, meditation, and enlightenment later he emerges from his self imposed isolation with a better understanding of who he is and what he's done along with a desire to help make the world a better place.
