It is the dawn of the 24th century, and an interesting point in time for the human race. Fifth Age chronicles the dawn (perhaps more like early mid-morning) of humanity exploring the stars and getting into all manner of trouble, fraught with peril, excitement and drama, Humanity’s first contact with alien life was a violent one, but fruitful. Equipped with the FTL technology of the alien civilization they encountered, humans could have eventually had the stars, but eventually is just never good enough. Pushing the boundaries of the technology, humans have spread farther, faster, than any species in recorded history, to the horror and dismay of other species who see humanity as a cancerous plague infecting the new frontier opened up by the enhanced hyperdrive. The solar system is divvied up by a smattering of old earth nation states, intent on keeping their grip on power while shadowy secret societies and mega corporations pull strings and manipulate events. Individual colonies might attempt to maintain their sovereignty, but eventually most bow to the will of the League of Starfaring Nations, or sell out to one of the licensed mega-corps. The thin strands binding together dozens of newly settled worlds and old earth are the spacers, daring starfarers willing to brave the dangers of hyperspace to haul freight, information, and new colonists into the frontier. Thanks to the relativistic time effects of hyperspace, these career spacers will age only a few short years while decades pass on the planet of their birth, meaning they must cast aside their old ties to friends and family, becoming a new type of culture all to themselves. Fifth Age is the story about these courageous adventurers, intrepid explorers and ruthless mercenaries, pushing the light of humanity into the deep darkness, and finding wealth, glory and adventure. We have been playing for a few months now, and recently lost one player. All is going well but it would be nice to add a bit more diversity to the party. We have a tank (synth) a "bard" (human) a melee warrior (Lizard man alien) and a ranged warrior (human). Games are played weekly on fridays at 11pm est. This is the "players hand book"we will be using its a homebrew 5e sci fi (nothing in the PDF is final and i am very flexable) Fifth Age (0.8).pdf https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9weYkvEU386Z0wyM0p2Q2NfVEE/view Player name: Age: About you: Experience with 5e: Character name: Class/es: Backstory: Character traits: Character flaws: Small physical description: (for your character example height, complexion, hairstyle/color or as much as you're willing to write about) Feel free to post a drawing you made, someone made for you or stolen from the internet, to show your character thanks for applying.

I am very interested, I think I saw this system on rpg.net. I am new to Roll20 so I will have a lot of learning to do. Also not sure how the time will work out for me. Player name: Malcolm Age: 43 About you: Experienced gamer looking to get into online gaming Experience with 5e: Have played a short campaign. Lots of other tabletop RPG experience Character name: Zace Arganel Class/es: Scientist / techie type, probably Technician / Robomancer Backstory: “Produced” by a tranhumanist group with the goal of creating a superior strain of humanity, Zace ultimately rejected his ideological programming and skipped out of his home enclave. He took a long-term spacer job in the hope that in the decades it took for him to return to Earth the radical hypercorp that created him will have self-destructed or moved on to other pursuits. Character traits: Intelligent and highly adapted to space, prefers dealing with ship repairs and orbital mechanics to anything on a planet's surface. Likes dealing with people but is not good at it, often tries to impress using his technical skills. Character flaws: Still bears some prejudice against “lower” grade of human from his radical upbringing. Often talks down to baseline humans and underestimates them. Small physical description: Very tall and thin with fine features, almost unnaturally perfect in symmetry and proportion. Has bright blue hair typical of those born of parents wanting to flount their offspring's engineered genetics. Seldom seen without his custom vacuum suit, computer equipment and electronics tools.
