[LFP] D&D 5e Adventure, Monsters, and WAR

Hello prospective adventurer! I'm looking for a small party of up to 5 to join me in some monster slaying, espionage and warfare! A large hobgoblin army has amassed from within the Great Swamp on the island of Aurgale, leaving in its wake bloody battlefields and the cinders for chaos. Monsters now plague the countryside, as most capable men and women have been called to take up the sword. The Kingdom of Aurgale has sent every ship it can spare to the coasts of Dambrath in the hopes of recruiting mercenaries, adventurers and agents to perform various special operations, and bolster their ranks. Leaving from Cathyr, you'll be waving goodbye to all you've ever known to fight a war in a foreign land. What has brought you to Cathyr? Why do you join the fight? Perhaps you're one of the soldiers sent from Aurgale to guard the fleet, or perhaps you're a wandering cleric in search of spreading your faith to these outlanders. Maybe you're an agent of evil, and you wish to thwart the Kingdom's efforts in order to bring chaotic goblinoid rule to Aurgale. The tentative schedule is Wednesdays at 8-10pm Eastern Standard Time each week . A working microphone and Discord are required. I'm an RP heavy DM who tries to set up interesting and tactical encounters, as well as logical and congruent events as you and the party carve (or parley) your way through various quests and battles. I will not tolerate disrespectful behavior toward other players or myself. Any alignment besides Chaotic Evil is allowed. You may make a case for a CE character, if you're so inclined, but (all else being equal) it's less likely to be accepted than other alignments. Please, post or direct message me about yourself, past games you've played (or what got you into D&D if you're brand new), and what sort of character you'd like to play. If you want to post a full character that's cool, if you want to keep motivations/backstory between us that's cool as well. Id be down man. Id play a monster slayer Ranger who is Neutral Good. Ive played a couple of 5e games, though no experiance in other editions. I know each of the 5e books and Tal Dorei. Do you need my discord by chance?

I am also interested. I haven't used the forums to find a game before but if it's just a nice and regular campaign that's free to play I am totally down. I am only familiar with 5th edition. I've been only been playing for 3 months and was inspired by Critical Role. I never realized how amazing this game was when I discovered it a while back. I've only played campaigns so far over the past few months and am looking for more. I'm super oped to roleplay and teamwork. If I am accepted I would like to play an Aasimar Paladin who volunteered to be sent to the front lines in order to prevent innocent deaths.  Backstory: Adam was born with human parents but was abandoned as a child for the fear of the entities and the people with evil intentions that would come after him, for he was Aasimar. After he was found by local adventurers, he was given to the Church of Bahumut to be taken care of. They believed their meeting to be fate and he was given the name Adam Silvercrown. Adam grew up seeing evil come and go and seeing good people tainted and cleansed. Seeing the good and bad in people he decided to forge his own path to help people though military support and community service rarely showing his face unless to inspire or destroy. (I try to keep it open for character development.)    I hope I get to join. I have discord so that's covered.

Hey, I would be interested in joining up. I've played 5e in a few sessions and have a pretty good grasp of things. I'm fine with any mix of RP/combat, so I don't mind if it's story heavy. I have a few character ideas flowing around, but I am very flexible and willing to play most anything. Depending on what is allowed, as far as expansions and homebrew, the characters I have in mind right now would be a Kenku Monk, or a Half Elf / Drow Sorcerer with a few levels in warlock for both story and gameplay reasons. I don't think I would run either as CE so that shouldn't be a problem. 

What are your feelings on UA? I have a character I'm working on right now that I'm dying to play. The details need to be fleshed out and I would need to speak with you so the back story can work into your world, but I'm sure it would fit perfectly with the story you have planned with a little tweaking. (on my end) If you don't want to include UA in your campaign, I totally understand as well, so I have a back-up character I can substitute. As for experience, I have a few months under my belt. I first became interested in playing back in 2013 after finding out my friend played, but unfortunately I was unable to act on my interest. I made a Roll20 account a couple of years ago, but that was before I had played and since I had no prior experience, I was completely lost in what I had to do. Since that day its been like a snowball effect, the more I learn, the more I want to be immersed in the world of magic. My D&D group here at home had to disband due to life getting in the way, but after getting a taste, I couldn't stay away for long.

Greetings, I go by moon or shade, I have been playing tabletops for over 4 years now with a good year and a half with dnd 5e, with the others games being vampire the masqurade, Shadowrun 5e, and Pathfinder mostly. I have two basic characters in mind, the first being a Gnome Wizard on the run from his past, and the other, if your would allow critical role homebrew, Is a Human bloodhunter seeking to redeem himself after going to far for revenge.

My names Brett, and I’d love to join our game!  The character Id want to play is  Ratcliffe  Human Fighter Joining the fleet to sail to Cathyr not only to help my nation but to protect one of the recruiting emmissaries, the woman I love deeply and truly even if it may be unrequited.  I would travel to the depths of Tartarus to be her shield.  Thats is he character initial concept.  I’d love to hammer it out with you.  Let me know if you’d like me.
