Sites been up for years. So jump me for sharing something that for the most part is common knowledge? Really? I also purchased the books in paperback, no few of them multiple times because they wore out. But regardless if the site's been up for years - it was one thing when there wasn't a way to get the PDF except piracy. But that's not the case now. Guess it's just the editor part of me that knows how piracy hurts authors. Sabrina, There're valid points to both sides of the argument. As a freelance writer and editor, I'd typically side with your view in a heartbeat. What D.W.G. has to say bears some consideration, however. I'm really just using the free PDFs to get my feet wet, so to speak. If I can find a group sincerely interested in playing, I'll definitely spend the money on hard copies. Shuffling through PDF pages is brutal when it comes to RPGs, especially a game like Rifts that's admittedly a bit more complex than some titles out there. That and there's just something undeniably better about having a paper copy of a rulebook or sourcebook in my hands; especially when it comes to artwork and color plates. All the best, Bob
