hi im new to ttrpg's but i want to buy these books but im just kinda confused on what books i would need. and id rather buy the physical books so i could play at friends places and what not.
If you're just going to be a player, you would just need the Investigator's Handbook. If you ever wanted to be a GM (aka a Keeper), then you should get the Keepers Handbook instead. Or you could get both and hand the Investigator's Handbook to your friends to read.
Tim W. said: also depends on which version of COC you want to play I mean, if he's new, I'd kinda just recommend the current version, and then explore past versions from there.
