SCP Tabletop

This idea's been bugging me for a bit. Some sort of narrative within a "Escape from Level 7" style world, or the foundation conspiracies of the scp wiki. Initially I was thinking that given its transhumanist bent, Eclipse Phase would be a good system. Or possibly the story teller system or something similar. Spooky :-P What do ya'll think? How many have homebrewed occult horror/conspiracy like this up? Does a setting like this already exist?
I have a system "not unlike", but it much more different in every way then yours My idea for a wargame\rpg universe is a Shadowrun(science fantasy noir) meets fallen london( Lovecraftaian steampunk Gothic flash game with humor)
Yeah, Illuminati/MKULTRA/criminal conspiracy kinda stuff seem like they would make great backdrop for modern occult horror. This is more "narrrative" than tactical. Get too crazy with the tactical side, and things get awkward. More 1950s-90s as compared to modern day. There's a weird mix of apathy and information abundance in the modern world. Foundation-style occult research organizations, pseudo governmental firm, corporate interests, governments, religious orders, apocalypse cults, (other) cults, wealthy family interests.... Great excuses for the level of secrets in a campaign. On the human end of things. Investigators, Agents, Researchers, Civilians, security personnel, strike teams...abnormalities/test subjects. There's some wiggle room for character types.
sounds cool, i however do prefer a "Victorian eldritich" kind of theme with a "endless, dark, war" tone
I was brewing up a Cortex system based thing for a combination of SCP and Warehouse 13. I got busy, but it would have been neat.
warehouse 13 sounds cool, but what exactly is SCP?
From another post here, called "Little Pieces of Horror" One of the best collections of "little pieces of horror" I've ever seen is found at the SCP Foundation 's website. SCP stands for Secure, Contain, Protect. They're a special group dedicated to finding those little things that don't belong in the world the rest of us live in, and making sure we never, ever find out about them. The stories told here, even the bits we are allowed to see, are disturbing to say the least. Some are interesting, some are frightening, some are even humorous. But they're all disturbing. Read. Enjoy. But don't say I didn't warn you! -Phnord, aka SCP-#█████████ Here's a good example: The Harvested Man
Aha. It's come along! Tempted to write an introduction as well, now that the system/fluff is fleshed out more. Meeting with testers tonight. Not everyone is as familiar with the SCP setting/vibe if they haven't been on the site for years. "Turn your goddamn smartphone off at the table" might actually be written to hardcopy, now, in the recommendations :-P
