Howdy Doodles!! I run a homebrewed 5e campaign that has been meeting bi-weekly Saturday nights @7pm CST for a year now. The group is very story focused and sessions are pretty roleplay heavy with RP and story making up for 75% of each session. Unfortunately, one player will be leaving our ranks. The group has a very interesting dynamic, they are all fantastic roleplayers and great at responding to situations, tension, and drama that arise, but the bold charisma based player who often gets the party into situations and moves the story forward is the player that will be leaving. I am hoping to keep the magic of this group alive by filling the role that will be left empty. If you are interested in joining, please apply below. I will summarize the story and then post what information I would like from you if you're interested in playing. Can't wait to hear from you! Their Story so Far The party tracked down a bunch of dangerous magical artifacts and decided to bring them to a neutral University that studies magic and store them in the University's vaults for safe keeping. During their journey to the University, they encountered a cursed woman who could hear the future. They decided to escort the woman to the University so the arcanists and scholars could study her and possibly fix her. While traveling, the woman revealed she can randomly hear everything that happens to her up to the point where she dies, and reveals that one of the party members kills her. With that in mind they still push forward to the University. The University's headmistress is the world's greatest peace-keeping diplomat between the nations of the world. She is also an accidental lich and history has proven she is strangely unkillable. Unfortunately, she has been missing for two months. When the party makes it to the University, they find it barely holding together as the new headmaster is struggling to handle political pressure, attacks on the now vulnerable University, and items going missing. The party decides to use one of their magical artifacts that comes with a heavy cost and scries on the missing headmistress to find that she is alive and has been captured. An evil Demi-god, long thought dead, has been holding her as a captive for who knows how long for who knows why. The party decides to make rescuing her their top priority and right before they leave, outside political pressures cause them to stay in town for one more night. While in town they decide to help a group of hired contractors retrieve some items that were stolen from the University. They find the bandits' operations and raid their headquarters. Two players engage the bandit boss head on while the other players search the warehouse for the missing runes. They almost kill the boss, but she gets a well-placed lightning bolt and nearly kills them both. Now, she and her goons have dragged the two unconscious players' body to the rest of the party and has a sword to each of the unconscious players' necks and is demanding the party surrender. That is where we'll pick up next session.
