LFG 5E - Available after 6 PST WORKDAYS - Want a Consistent Game with Friendly People!

Welcome everyone! Before I introduce myself, I want to thank you for taking the time and reading my topic in the FLOOD of posts in this thread. The reason why I wanted to create a specific post - is so I can find a game not quickly but find a game of quality and like minded GM's/players who desire that dynamic role play experience. Truthfully, I am still new but I am prone to research my work in my off hours when motivated. So catching up is no issue for me.   That being said: let's get started! My name is Craig, I've played a few D&D 5E games in the past few years on roll20. I am in my 20's and currently live in Canada! (and yes going along with the stereotypes it's true we're very friendly.) I've been posting awhile trying to find a game and to no avail barely receiving replies. Luckily over the years my skin grew thick as a dragon born - so I can deal with a little rejection :) I am in the PST and only available Mon-Friday after 6PM PST - for my weekends I generally hang out with my girlfriend. (although behind her back I am still trying to roll a 20 to charm her to play as well.) however until the day I hit that roll, I unfortunately cannot play on those days. I am determined to find a solid game and have all the time in the world to get to know the wonderful players/GM's of roll20.  Preferred Character Name: Kaine Character Class Preference: Thief/Ranger/Assassin Alignment : Neutral  Play Style: I love to run decent charm characters and "attempt" to persuade the pants off anyone I encounter. I also stat high in critical and stealth and luck. However, I've played a druid before and a ranger, so I am 100% open to try new roles.  Don't be shy and feel free to say hello in this thread - If you're a player looking for games, don't be afraid to message me and I can invite you to games if there's room. As well any friendly GM's if you ever need players and feel too lazy to post a thread about your game - go ahead and DM me. TLDR : Hi my name is Craig, what's your name? :)
Bump!
Hello I'm Josh  I'm not the gm but I am doing some recruiting for him we're playing Bi-weekly on Thursdays at 7:00 PM CST pm me if this peeks your interest we do have a tabaxi rogue AT, and someone debating a paIadin or druid. We'll talk a little bit beofre I send you the gms way: In the farthest corner of the windswept North, a land called Hartsvale sits nestled in a fertile valley of ancient Ice Spire Mountains which span the horizon all the way to the High Ice Wall. A clear, freezing river flows south across the vale out of the Endless Blizzard to the North. It isn't merely the high mountains around the vale that hold dangers, though the vale has scattered settlements, these lands are still frontier like. This valley contains low rolling hills, forests of pine, and frozen plains which fell beasts aplenty make their lairs. Winters are cold and monsters and human barbarians regularly stream out of the mountains to pillage outlying settlements Originally home to giant clans and barbarian tribes, Hartsvale was conquered by the hero Hartkiller. The folk of Hartsvale are ruled by House Hartwick, a line of royals supposedly descended from Hartkiller. You have heard a dire call for adventurers with promises of great riches for those that make the trek. Without much more than the clothes on your back, a near empty coin pouch, and almost no information about this land, you are happy to be less than a day away from employment. Campaign Details: This is a D&D 5E homebrew campaign set in Forgotten Realms in the region of Hartsvale. I have spent the past year fleshing out the region including settlements, NPCs, locations etc. that the PCs can explore and discover, and a whole lot more! I may have been called the hand out king once or twice before. Expect every location/NPC/magic item to have its own handout complete with artwork. Let alone whats in store for the adventures... I like to run my games like a TV series with an over arching story spanning multiple episodes or sometimes seasons. Game Schedule: The game will run bi-weekly on Thursdays starting at 6:00pm CST. The games typically run between 3 to 4 hours. A hard stop will be done at 10:00pm CST. About the DM: Hi, my name is Michael (despite the colorful names my players might use). I have been DM'n for well over 15 years mostly every version of D&D. I will say that I have a strong grasp of the rules and will make reasonable decisions if there are questions. Sometimes, rules will be broken for two very good reasons (imo): 1) To keep it simple stupid 2) The rule of cool applies I would say that I am pretty easy going and get along with almost everyone. Overall my games tend to light and funny but there is quite a range from adventure to adventure. As a DM, I like to challenge players and put them into all sorts of situations. Usually there is some sort of combination of roleplaying, exploratory, skill challenges, puzzles (my personal favorite) and yes, story appropriate combat each session. Most adventures include a combat or two which include detailed maps, visual effects, and appropriate sound effects/music. Finally, although I have a large over arching story, the players do shape the individual adventures based on their decisions, actions, or even how they interact with NPCs. I also enjoy working player backgrounds into their own story, quest, random encounter, etc. So, yes, the players will definitely drive the story, for better or for worse... but who are we kidding... we know if you give the players a choice... it will be for worse. Character Creation Details: Characters will start at level 1. Players may use anything from the Players Handbook, Sword Coast Adventures Guide, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Flying characters are strictly prohibited. I encourage a well thought out character concept and background. You will need to provide a picture of your character, although not required to include in the application. For ability scores, you can choose to use the standard 27 point buy system detailed in the PHB, or roll for them. The roll will be 4d6 dropping the lowest dice, 6 times. Characters start with standard equipment for their class and background. When leveling up, the character can choose to take the average hp for their class or roll for them. What I am looking for in a player: I am looking for a friendly person who can get along with people and be respectful with everyone first and foremost. You could have the greatest, most powerful character in the world, but I am not running solo game. We are all here to have fun, so that means knowing when it makes sense for your character to enjoy the spotlight and when to let other party members shine. Next, I am looking for someone who is reliable, will not cancel at the last minute (barring emergencies of course) or give at least a few days notice if they cannot make a game. Often, I create adventures based on characters backstories and nothing is worse to have it ready to go and the player no show. I want a player that will be invested in a character, who wants to see them advance their own story as well as influence the world around them.
