Hey! I've been playing tabletop RPGs for 15-20 years now, and I've recently been getting back into D&D. I'd like to put together a group to play on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm EST. I'm somewhat flexible on the day of the week though Tuesdays would definitely work best. One thing I want to stress in this post is that I am looking for 2 particular qualities in players - first is a degree of reliability. I understand that things come up but I want to do a long term campaign and get to lvl 20 if possible. That's not going to happen with players who show for a single game and drop. I'm not saying you need to be present for every session, but I need to know that you have every intention of sticking with us which means good communication. The second thing I'm looking for is a desire to actually do some role playing. If I wanted to crunch numbers and crawl dungeons for 4 hours I have plenty of video games to do that with - I like to play D&D for the group storytelling aspect. There would still be plenty of combat, but I want players who will create real characters with backstories and an intention to bring some storytelling elements to the game and actually drive some of the action for the campaign. Of course, I'm also expecting any players who join to be polite and respectful of other players as well and everyone is welcome to join regardless of age or experience. I would expect the player finding process to take some time, so I will keep this thread alive until I find 3-5 players but in the mean time send me a message if you're interested. So far I've got one!
