Name: Andrew R. Age: 24 Character Idea: (Class is variable based on party composition but is LN or LG Human char idea I have) Upon the joining of an expeditionary force into neighboring lands beset by undead, a young Roland of the Monsanto noble family had finally been assigned as a captain of a company of battlemages. Upon landing on the beaches of foreign lands, the assault was immediately assailed by previously unknown numbers striking from the black waters, rising from the sand. While the unknown undead continued to struck about all the legions who attempted to pave their way back to the boats. Sir Roland Monsanto was struck in the heart by a black blade during the onset battle to escape. Having felt his death, he awoken the next morning to find the cut into his heart black as the dead but still beating, yet the rest of him was still of a living man. Waking to find himself amidst the foggy beach with undead & men alike fallen, he took a small boat & made his way elsewhere not knowing where else to go. As time past he continued to study his new nature but never lost his disgust for the undead. To that end he never returned his family & continued to live humbly so he could continue to study what had happened to him. Have more story to this but tried to summarize the key points. Experience: About 8 years at this point of various RPGS including DND, 13th Age, Shadow of the Demon Lord just to list a few of the fantasy ones, I am heavily a GM at the moment rather than a player but have free time Wednesday nights & haven't played 5e in a long while so thought I'd give posting a try. A bit about yourself: University student from Southern California studying cybersecurity & play/run plenty of rpgs on the side, some of my other hobbies include spanish classical guitar & photography. I'm graduating this year & looking to move elsewhere in the states so thats more or less my current life situation. I consider myself a bit of a flexible player but I strongly prefer roleplaying to rollplaying & whatever makes a good story. In a group I don't mind hanging back at times or taking a step forward when the party is a bit lost, I think its important for everyone at the table is making sure everyone is having a chance to have fun than to focus on their own enjoyment, even if you're not the GM. Thanks for the consideration & hope to hear back from you :)
