DND5e DM looking for players, Mondays EST [Text Only]

Hello, my group on monday has slowly left. I started with 7 players and due to people getting new jobs and other such things, the player count has dwindled down to 2... So now I'm restarting my game. I'm gathering the players first and then asking them what kind of game you guys will be wanting to play and what kind of characters as well, most likely will be a homebrew campaign. I'm looking for mature players, 18+ there is no sexual content however there will be more mature themes and a lot of gore most likely. Players of all experience are welcome, even complete beginners. I'm willing to teach you how to play the game if you don't know how. THE GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON ROLL20 VIA TEXT CHAT! Please make sure you know that it will be a text based game, don't show up expecting to play voice please. Characters shouldn't be min/maxed to hell, please keep your characters within reason however still make them strong. Please no anime backstories about how theres a demon trapped inside you or anything like that.  If you're interested then please leave a comment with a brief description of a character concept that includes race, class, backstory, appearance. Hello, I am brand new to the game, but looking for a group to help learn. Name: Gudrick Race: Human Class: Fighter Gender: Male 0 Age: 25 Description: Blonde, bearded, physically trim, and scars across his body from multiple campaigns. Backstory: Gudrick spent his life in a mercenary unit, taking up others fights while the lion's share of the profits went to his officers. He now wants to branch out into his own enterprise as a freelancer looking for adventure.

Name: Trirock Stonecrusher Race: Goliath Class:Barbarian Gender male Age:31 Description:6ft 7 inches 298 pounds. small for a giant abut still hits like a brick house. brown hair and eyes  Backstory: Trirock  was just like every other Goliath other then his height. it was a sore spot for him and lead him to take on more challenges to prove his worth. however when his mother grew ill the tribe  decided exiled her. Trirock argued strongly against it. He stated that he would pull the wait for both of them. however the tribe declined his offer. Angrily he storm out saying that he would not leave his mother behind , and with Trirock refusing to leave her to die the tribe was left with no chose but to exiled him as well.  unfortunately not long after being exiled Trirock's mother started to slowly slip away. not wanting her son to die in exile as well begged him to head down the mountain and find the nearest town to start a new life for himself. reluctantly he agreed and began to gather his things. Be for he left his mother have him a dagger that she had received as wedding gift from his late father, and with her last breath she said " I love you son" and then slipped away. With sadness in his heart he took the last piece of his family and hooked it to his belt as he set out down the mountain.

Name:     Artemis Thorson Race:       Human Class:      Wizard (divination focus) Gender:   Male Age:         29 Description:     5'8"  Long flowing rust red hair with a graying goatee.  The hair and beard has some gray.  The eyes look tired and are a striking deep blue.   His clothing is simple and worn  in hues faded navy blue and green.   He uses a staff as he travels the roads and protects his thick book as if his life depended on it. Backstory:   Artemis was a former student of the College of True Sight, a well known college of wizardry usually focusing on Divination.  He was a fine student there near the top of his class.   He became the focus of a jealous student (Carlyle Pierce), who managed to falsely accuse him of cheating on wizardry tests and stealing a spell from the college library.   Artemis is now trying to clear his name and find the illusive Carlyle.

Name: Gavin Blon Race:  Human Class:  Warlock (Great Old One preferred) Gender:  Male Age: 17 Description: A feminine looking man oft mistaken for a woman, with long black hair usually pulled back into a ponytail or bun. He stands at five feet, three inches in height. His frame is thin and his movements are graceful, like that of a noble and his manner of speech is just as flamboyant. His skin is a pale color and his eyes are white-green. Backstory: Born to a family of Gypsy's who made money while wandering from town to town by putting on entertaining shows. The main source of their income was the expansive plays and theatrical shows they performed. As is want in medieval times, the woman acted more as fashion consultants for the plays rather then actresses, all the people actually.. acting were infact, male. Gavin was oft shoved into female roles due to his frame and appearance and although he wasn't exactly thrilled, it helped him become quite the deceiver. Gavin took up a love for literature and secrets, often learning gossip only to unleash it at the most damning of times against people in the large gypsy family who had wronged him. Though he was a trouble maker, the gypsy band was a close knit community which loved eachother, which made Gavin devastated when bandits ripped apart the gypsy band in a terrible raid one day. Gavin only survived through the power of the entity which had made an offer to him. A shining star in the night sky called down, the offer was clear though no words were spoken. Spread knowledge, learn secrets and wield them in the name of The Star and he would have the power, one day, to avenge the death of his family. Gavin holds The Star in high regards and it would take drastic circumstances for him to give up his devotion to his patron, especially considering the eldritch power it has gifted him.

Name: Lord Thuznus Mithrilsunder the fifth Race: Mountain Dwarf Class: Paladin Gender: Male Age: 25 Description: 4' 10 , 175lbs. Short Military cut dirty blonde Hair with a full beard with the sides braided that goes down to his stomach. Piercing blue eyes. Muscular build.    Backstory:  Thuznus comes from the Dwarven city of Girtorum which is under the Orsraun Mountains. His Dwarven city remains undiscovered to everyone not from the city. The only dwarfs allowed to exit are top family noble males who go on on a mission to slay a powerful foe. On Thuznus's  23rd birthday, he set out on this quest. A little under half of the males that leave return. Thuznus is determine to make prove his place in the Girtorum society.
