Game Backups

Do you guys keep backups of your games? How frequently do you backup? How many backup copies do you keep running at any given time? And a related question, having a game with a library using up 50 MB of data and backing it up will you then have a second library of 50 MB applying a total of 100 MB to your upload cap? Or is there just one library used among all games? I backup once a day at night before bed. I keep 5 days back of backups (so 6 games, my primary I work on and 5 backups) as one backup gets pushed into the list one gets popped out (deleted). If the library is one unique element that isn't duplicated then I may opt to keep even more backups because my game files change so much from the day to day. So how do you handle backups?

Hi Kastion. 1. As a Pro subscriber you have access to restore from automatic backups, called "Rollback". Check it out! Wiki docs for this: https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Management#Roll_Back_... 2. Your Library is tied to your Account, not to each Game. The Library is not copied when you make a game backup. Wiki, https://wiki.roll20.net/Art_Library#My_Library 3. Character Vault is a pretty good way to keep safe backup copies of Characters, https://app.roll20.net/vault/characters 4. But when you're a Pro Subscriber, probably a smoother idea is to have a side-game that is a Holding Tank and use Transmogrify (Pro perk) to keep an extra (or original) copy of Characters, Handouts, Macros, Sounds in the Jukebox, and Pages (maps). Use Transmogrifier to copy your important pieces into one or more backup game: https://wiki.roll20.net/Transmogrifier I have made backups before myself with Copy Game. As the game got larger in Pages and Characters and Rollable Tables, Handouts, and everything, eventually the backup process started taking longer and longer. However, more recently, Roll20 instituted some background process queue and speed upgrades, so it's probably a lot quicker and more stable now to make backups (see Blog and Community Corner over the past year). But then Devs added the Roll Back feature onto Pro subscribers, so to me it seems less important to make "Copy Game" style backups nowadays.
Archive pages, characters and handouts often at least once every fortnight this helps for backups and keeping things tidy. I have one master game that houses my macros, roll tables, decks and certain API scripts, when i start a new game I copy this master or transfer things using transmog. Pay for pro, its worth every penny having access to more storage and character vaults.

I'll read up on the Roll Back feature and see what it can do for me. I assumed the library was tied to your account but wasn't entirely sure. I suppose I should check the wiki more often for things like this. Had no idea about the Character Vault or Transmorgrifier either so that's some new stuff for me to read about as well.
