For a new table-top game in the making: ADVANCED Cataclysm, we are looking for potential play testers to help us iron out the various rules and to potentially help decide on new ideas. Cataclysm has been in the works for nearing 2 years now and has undergone many different version and revisions before making it to the version we offer today for testing. Cataclysm uses what we are referring to as a metric dice system, although many might simply call it a variant d10 system. The number 10 is important to our system in many ways, from the sole use of the d10, to the use of the metric clock system (2 times 10 hours). For a full rundown of the system you will gain access while play testing to view the current rules. The setting of the game takes elements from various settings to create a world where technology and magic coincide with each other to create quite a unique world and when combined with the various rule set systems, such as the character creation and our unique Weaponized Augmentation Rune system, or W.A.R. for short, you can create the exact character you want (within reason) so that you can truly play the character you have always wanted to without the grind for equipment. Our system puts the fate of the game truly in the hands of the players, in their choices to progress the story but also in their dice. Players roll all the dice, not the game master, players attack and players defend, this semi unique system really allows the players to feel like the heroes (or anti heroes) they are, while allowing the game master to focus on granting the players a unique and rewarding story. Each play test session will be closed off with a google form, asking some basic questions and a section of the forum will be reserved for play tester comments on the various testing scenarios. If you have read all the above and feel interested in helping us bring this new system into existence, please apply on our forum: http://beirdogames.com/Cataclysm/Forum/index.php TL:DR. You really should read this , as play testing a game you are not interested in might not be smart and can get us the wrong impression or feedback. You are however free to register on the forums and join the debate of other playtesters. Side Note: Valuable play testers are invited to multiple sessions and can earn free copies of the game and a reference in the book. Play testers that do not fill in either the forum, with a personal feedback message or the google form (preference is to fill in both, rather than one over the other) will have a lower chance of being invited for additional tests if there are enough people looking to play test due to the need of valuable feedback. Thank you for your time in reading this and hopefully see you soon in in roll20.
