
Hey there folks! I am one of the players in the game and figured that seeing as our DM is kind of a busy person that I would take a moment to post that we are looking to add one more player to the game. We have just started a new campaign after running Curse of Strahd so things are still new for all the characters and players alike. If you are interested in applying then click here . So before I get into a brief overlay of the story let us go over the cast of plucky characters. I will be staying as generic as I can with them as a) I don't want to reveal too much ahead of time and b) I honestly don't know that much about the characters not played by me lol. -The Cast- Sven: Half-elf cavalier with a passion for carpentry. Born in a small town he is venturing out into the big world. The unofficial leader of the party that finds it hard to turn a blind eye to injustices committed by those in power. Always found with his trusty steed he seems to be the most level-headed of the bunch. Jorrin: Halfling scout that travels with Sven as a sidekick. A keen eye for people and situations he stays ever vigilant to his surroundings. While he may be suspicious of most he remains loyal to those that have earned his trust. While sometimes a little rough around the edges he seems to possess a love of books. Yrvir: Yuan-ti cleric of Moradin that shares more in common with dwarves than his own race. A travelling blacksmith, he is always willing to talk shop and provide his services to earn his keep. Unlike the rest of his race, he has a good heart and an even stronger faith. He has been travelling with Sven and Jorin for a little while now. Geist: Elf ranger with a metal head as a result of a cursed helmet. A morally questionable man steeped in mystery. With blades easily accessible on all parts of his body he is always prepared for whatever comes his way. Newest travelling companion of the other three he is almost always accompanied by his dinosaur companion named Bitey. -The Story- Even though this campaign is still relatively new, a lot of stuff has transpired so I am going to try and keep it brief. After arriving in the town of Greybanner 3/4 of the group have become local heroes after saving orphans and a dog from the orphanage that was on fire. Was later revealed that the fire started after a freak lightning bolt struck the building in the middle of a sunny day. Later that day they visited the Arcanium and helped save the life of the full-time researcher when members of a cult attacked. The leader of the cultists that attacked managed to best the party and leave with the item that he stole from the Arcanium. Turns out it was one of several artifacts called Loadstones, each one being connected to powerful entities not native to the material plane that were worshipped as gods. Discovered that the cultists had used the orphanage fire to use a secret passage in the local Arena to bust one of their members out of jail. Group decided to investigate two town guards that had left their post at the Arena to come to the scene of the fire in a very late fashion. Returning to the town after saving the Arcanium they headed to the local hunting lodge and got a job helping members hunt a giant lizard the next morning. Also visited local Arena and bet/watched a fight between the champion and a new person in the town called "The Traveller". Geist witnessed the companion (Julianna) of The Traveller use magic to help secure a win for The Traveller which she had placed a large bet on. Guards suspected foul play and arrested Julianna believing that she had cheated. Group headed to town guards barracks to not only investigate the two guards they suspected of being corrupt but also to see what would happen to Julianna. Jorrin and Geist snuck into the basement of the barracks and after watching a guard interrogate Julianna, Jorrin decided to rescue Julianna by locking the guard in a room. During the breakout, the rest of the guards were alerted and The Traveller showed up having planned to rescue his fiance as well. Through some quick thinking, magic, and deception the group managed to get away from the now alerted barracks. Geist managed to capture one of the two guards they were investigating and take him to a camp the group had set up in preparation to interrogate the guards. In the interrogation process, they learned that the captain of the guards was corrupt as fuck. Heading out the next morning the group met up with the Hunters Lodge members and started tracking the giant lizard known as the Fiend of the Forest. After being ambushed by a bunch of velociraptors and defeating most of them a huge dinosaur (with glowing blue eyes) entered the scene that could magically control other reptiles. It is also possible that all the dinos were being controlled by an outside force that could expand its number of minions when near them. We are unsure as our party didn't stick around for long when a young T-rex also joined the battle. The party is now deciding what to do as they have a lot of potential jobs waiting for them
