[LFG]Mature player looking for RP-heavy, long term game to join[EST]

Hello! I'm looking for a roleplay heavy, long-term campaign. I prefer epic storylines (or at least sandboxes with opportunities for epic storylines) and lots of story to dig in to. I’d also prefer to find a group that engage in roleplay with one another and a GM who doesn’t mind taking a step back and allowing roleplay to happen. Who I am : I’m 31, Female, and have over 22 years of experience as a player of various systems under my belt. I also have over 19 years of experience as a GM, though I am not looking to run a game at this time. I write both for a living and as a hobby, so I value story and character depth. I am not a “crunchy” player, so it’s worth putting that out there up front. If your group is the type to nitpick and go with minute details in the rules rather than what serves the game/narrative overall, I’m not your girl. I guess this could be summed up best by saying that I am a ROLE player, not a ROLL player. I am a writer both from a professional standpoint and as a hobby, so I value story and character growth over all else. What I’m looking for : A group of ADULT (21+) role players who aren’t here to be murder hobos. It's also worth noting that just because I want the other players to be over 21 doesn't mean I'm interested in having ERP or anything like that, I just prefer playing with people who are more mature and have more life experience than someone younger. A group that can be sensitive to each other both as people and as fellow gamers. A GM who can handle the demands of GMing, both from world-based stuff like NPC building and world crafting, to story stuff like weaving in character backgrounds and such so the story becomes more relevant to the characters and the players themselves. Something lasting that we can all get invested in (sorry, I really am not big on one-shots, I find them difficult to enjoy because they’re difficult to get into the story and character with). I would really prefer to join a brand new campaign or at least a campaign that isn't too far along (3-4 sessions max) but would be willing to consider something longer running for the right group/game. I'd also like to note that as a player, I come from an old school line of thought that designing characters should, to some degree, involve talking to the rest of the players. A party doesn't have to have a "holy trinity" of tank, healer, and caster, but there should be some balance involved, and shouldn't be too heavy in one direction or another. There's a number of reasons for why I feel this way... which I can explain if you reach out to me, but I don't want to clog my listing more than I have. I'd also like to know that the players and GM will all get together before the game and have a Session 0/Meet and Greet where they can discuss what they want from the game, what homebrew rules are being used, etc. Nothing is worse than everyone coming to the table with wildly different desires and expectations, and finding out after people have invested time and effort in to their characters. In short... I want to find a group that treats this as a cooperative game, not as a group game with a bunch of individuals all tugging at the game to "get theirs" without any thought for the other players. Here are some specifics : System : Anything EXCEPT D&D, *Finder, Scifi heavy stuff, or FATE Availability : Saturday evenings, weekly, starting anytime after 6 PM EST, and potentially Sunday Mornings until roughly noon EST. Medium : Voice based ONLY (I will not cam, do not ask). Skype, Hangouts, or Discord for voice. Special Note : I'm NOT going to pay you.
Bump. Still looking for something different. I'm chock full on D&D games, I'd like to branch out and get some more variety. I'm familiar with M&M, Chronicles of Darkness, Scion, 7th Sea, and lots of others! I also own the pdfs and books of a bunch of systems I've never gotten to play.

I would throw a WoD game your way, sounds right up your alley (and I mean like RIGHT up there; session zero, cooperative RP, character focused, looking for deep real people, etc.), but it is a bi-weekly weeknight.  Sounds like maybe not a possible time slot for you?
Can't do weeknights, sorry.
We might could do the same time slot on Sat/Sun.  Choosing only weeknights is somewhat arbitrary (though the time slot is a little tighter; weekend day times are for the fam). Check the ad and let me know if you are interested and we shall consider. It's called "Expats".  Just search World of Darkness games with 18+ content.  It is mixed splat.
Hello! We have a game that we typically are going to be running sundays, or in rare occassions, mondays. System we used is Homebrew-Heavy from Savage Worlds, all group members are over 18, we have a discord for active RP that's available during all hours. Long story short on our story; it's a world that suffered an apocalyptic event and the survivors 600 years later as society has reformed. We have a rich lore stretching back to previous campaigns, and would absolutely love to have another writer. Roles and opportunities only go so far as to what your characters have accomplished.  Feel free to message me back for more info. We're having our bug-testing session shortly, otherwise I'd take the time to write it all here :)
