Experienced yet still new player seeks group

I'm in the PST time zone, west coast USA. Gay player who has played D&D since Basic & AD&D in 1981. Looking for fun Saturday or Sunday evening group playing 5e. I have yet to play a 5e campaign or a game on Roll20 so I might be a little slow on the interface at first, but I have been doing my homework, learning rules etc. Initially I think I am seeking one-offs that last from 1-4 sessions, or a plot-driven adventure with a beginning, middle, and most importantly an end! I like to role-play but getting the mechanics down and learning the classes abilities is probably a good idea first. Ultimately I like role-playing and expect that to be a part of the game just as much as combat. Solving mysteries with scant info is great fun, but so is clobbering a tough monster that almost kills you. I'd be willing to do Lost Mines of Phandelver too if anyone is up for running it.
I run a 3.5 Noob Game on Tuesday nights from 6 -10 pm MT. Let me know if that works for you. https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/2823951/noobling-grotto

By default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public , but even then people not in the game can not post to the forums. The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)
Good info GenKitty! Eventually I want to run games as a DM myself so thanks! @Going Left Sorry but I am in PST, west coast USA. I wouldn't be able to make it on time due to work and I don't want to be the player who is always late.
Hello Michael, Our group is currently looking for 2 more people to join our Saturday campaign. Poetslayer: Return of the Demon King (our previous players had to leave due to conflicting schedules) We use the pathfinder system (based upon 3.5e dnd), our group is level 4 (which is still rather low. the campaign going up to 15), and we are more than happy to help teach or refresh players. The game usually runs at 4:30 to 5:00 pm pst on saturdays and go until either 11:00 or midnight. Please keep in mind we play using a combination of discord and roll20." Attached is a link to the campaign. Give me a ring if you need more information. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/115830/poetslayer-return-of-the-demon-king Happy Gaming, Joseph (Idanach)
Thanks Joseph for the offer, but I'm holding out for a 5e game. I've played many systems over the years and I'm sure I'd have fun with it no matter the system, but I'm really wanting to get into a 5e game right now.
